I felt like I'd seen Steve mention something in regard to how appearances in the video games does not always = availability for figure likenesses... ...this was last year, and I thought I'd seen something even more specific than that, but it seems like it might be helpful to folks here to not entirely get their hopes up over character A, B, or C appearing in the games being a sign that figures are coming. We already tried this. It lead to people being called “Debbie Downer” and that anything can happen. I'm displaying symptoms of already having Rick and Scott Elites and being perfectly fine with it. Hopefully it spreads.

With respect to the Steiners I can't believe I have to post this again but You’re pretty tall man. I didn’t realize.

I felt like I'd seen Steve mention something in regard to how appearances in the video games does not always = availability for figure likenesses... Naomi was actually supposed to be in Royal Rumble Elites this year but was replaced by Brie. Bianca’s unique gear will dictate whether or not her figures will need a new torso. We operate independently of 2K with talent selection and rollout so no correlations outside of specific partnerships like the recent unlockable Cena....this was last year, and I thought I'd seen something even more specific than that, but it seems like it might be helpful to folks here to not entirely get their hopes up over character A, B, or C appearing in the games being a sign that figures are coming. And as an aside...can we stop saying that any character who happened to be in 2K but didn't have figures revealed was a HUGE part of 2K? Savage was in 2K this year...and that's about it. He's as big a part of the game as anyone else who had a single showcase match and only got another attire on account of DLC. Macho Man had two Showcase matches, two different attires in the main game and had a dlc attire. He was also the very first person shown in the Showcase trailer, I could link the video for you if you want. It's on youtube.

I don't have a problem with Steiners not being revealed at this event they can reveal them at SDCC. But what bothers me is the lack of response, just leaving fans guessing and speculating while throwing in subtle humour.

Wfigs worked themselves into a shoot thinking the Steiners were coming brothers Thankfully hogan with a guitar and hogan with a shirt he never wore were revealed to soften the blow for all the Mattel Americans The Real American Hogan is easily one of the more unique and fun figures to come along in quite a while. The Basic Python Power figure on the other hand… Well, I’m just thankful I’m not a completist.

Two matches, with two corresponding attires, and a DLC attire. He's perfectly on the level with Charlotte Flair.

More than likely they’re saving it for something, to create shock… or laying low because they’re told to. You don’t think if Steve could tell us everything the second he hears it, he would? He’s as big of a collector as any of us.

The thing that makes me less excited for Steiner Brothers is that even if we get them, they are not going to be exactly how we hope they will be. They won't have those varsity jackets 100% accurate.

As others have responded, look at the dlc and legend characters. I think all of them have had figures revealed except Macho. Maybe not a direct link between the game and figures but a pretty darn big coincidence wouldn't you say??

If you’re only banking on one or two wrestlers each time these reveals roll around, you’re probably going to end up disappointed.

Yeah, they move in similar patterns, but it's not a 1:1 guarantee and I'd never use it as a barometer that someone's definitely going to get a figure. Correlation does not imply causation. There's also the small handful from this year and last year that don't have figures in the pipeline yet. UE Post Malone imminent LFG But check with Buddy, he's only been saying the Steiners are definitely coming for like...ever.

Yes, there will be exceptions. Hogan was an exception when he had a conflicting figure contract with Storm but was in other merch. But if you look at the past 5-6 years, there is almost total overlap with dozens of examples. The logistics of inserting talent into a video game or trading card is just a lot easier/faster than making an action figure. That said, exceptions are far more likely at talent levels like Macho Man than D'Lo Brown. We'll just have to wait and see on Savage. But for run of the mill talent, there is absolutely direct correlation.

We already tried this. It lead to people being called “Debbie Downer” and that anything can happen. The person asking Steve the question gave a generic question about people released in the game being a priority for Mattel and Steve gave them a generic and obvious answer back - that they operate independently (except for the one time they collaborated for the Cena elite figure featured in the game). Sounds like the person asking the question wanted to get at that but kept it too generic (probably afraid Steve wouldn't answer if they directly asked can 2K still sign their own deals). With Muta being released, I think the only one in the game now not under a deal is Macho and that could have been a timing issue or 2K/WWE already paid the estate before the contract expired for the game. Or if WWE forced 2K to follow the same rules with talent being under Legends contract, there could be a lag where 2K still had a side deal with Macho that didn't expire yet.
