Saw this great theory on Reddit
When Rock gave Cody the thing that was never revealed
I'm positive that that was a bead from Roman's Ula Fala necklace.
4 things make me think this
1: Rock said "you don't even have to open your hand to know what that is". Implying that it was something of a VERY unique shape.
2: Rock said "don't you ever break my heart again". Implying that whatever it was, it hurt Rock to give it away.
3: The match was under Bloodline Rules, meaning if you stretch Kayfabe a bit, then technically Cody could be considered the "tribal chief" now.
4: The overall somberness of the handoff and respect displayed by the Rock. It clearly upset him in kayfabe, but he still treated Cody as an equal, even letting him hold the peoples championship.
