Hey, it's fine though! Because with about 2 dozen almost-easy steps, you too can turn UE 21 Sami and Kevin into really nice figures!

Ultimates shouldn’t need fixing.

Your paying about $35 with tax for these we shouldn’t have to do this many changes to these to make them accurate

Terrible ultimate. One of the worst so far. Not sure how they messed up such an easy plain figure

Honestly, I brought this thread back to point out that they decided to compensate for too-short UE Kevin by making Elite Wargames Kevin too tall, but at this point, yeah, I can go for another round of sh*tting on the UEs, I've reached a point where my love affair with them is over. They were SUPPOSED to be my dream figures, but the amount of work I had to put into them to make them even passable is embarrassing.
And Kevin is still too short compared to Sami. You can bootswap Kevin to make him in scale with Sami, but then they're both off. The best you can do is mess around with the parts choices for Sami to try and bring him more in scale with the Elites, but the truth is that Kevin's torso is too short, and Sami's torso is too tall, so unless you throw off the proportions of their legs in a way that makes them look like you put one or both in MS paint and hit stretch/skew, they're never going to be in the right scale for each other AND everyone else.

Literally all they had to do was use the Coliseum Collection George Steele style torso on KO, and the crisis would’ve been averted. That’s what I did to fix mine, but the torso needed a lot of modding before I got it to sort of fit, so it’s not the best/most simple of solutions.
Such a shame they botched this. Was really hyped since KO is my favorite current talent, and I have a huge soft spot for the Mania Tag Title win. Even after a good couple months since arriving, I’m still salty that UE KO is too short and I needed to do so much modding to make it look the way it was supposed to.

The part that's wild to me is that the torso they did use has some wild sculpting on it, like the idea was to try and sculpt on the singlet underneath, but the person making the mold for it had never actually seen a singlet before and was trying to go off a wikipedia description, and when the end result sucked, they just molded the whole thing in black plastic. I tried to paint it so that it didn't look quite so bad, but the sculpting is so WEIRD.

You know, thought that just occurred to me.
Butterfly joints ain't the best. Not a thing I need on my figures. And the Kevin ab crunch on Elites is already that of an UE.
Has anyone thought to simply put the UE legs on an Elite 101 upper half? I don't know why *I* never thought of that before, but I wonder if it would fix the height problem at the sacrifice of the butterfly joints.

This is my first time seeing this figure and issue.
This case seems *egregiously* bad. Did Mattel or Steve ever address this?

This is rough. Every Ultimate I buy these days has a problem. Really loose head peg etc.
Add that to the Elites all being way way too stiff, the general quality control seems really bad.
I was holding out for the Ultimate to get a KO, but that wait will continue I think.
