Hey all I noticed Mattel having at least one legend in their Main Event waves moving forward. I am wondering if you all actually collect these or if you just focus on the Legends Line. I ask because they don't seem to sell well and if Legends fans don't care to collect these in the Basic waves then why not focus the extra character on current talent?
I am curious to hear all your input as I don't collect Legends figures so I don't know.

I don’t buy Basics/Main Event Figs. Golden Era legends only: Coliseum Collection, Legends, and used to buy the occasional Elite before the packaging change.

Depends on the Legend. I've got basic Sting, a few basic Hogans (molded on shirts) and some that we dont/didn't have Elites of (singles Booker T, jeans DDP)..
But a basic HTM, Michaels/Bulldog pack etc...easy pass

I hadn't purchased a Basic in forever until the recent changes. I don't think I'll get a ton of them, but I'm open to them more now on case by case basis.

I quit basics years ago, there's enough elites now to satisfy every figure need I have.

Yes, if it's an look that's not available in Elite form. I just got the chase HTM and referee Mr T for example.

Yup. I got workout gear Hogan & Ref Mr T & I will get Dibiase and Bret. If its a legend/attire I want or if I can use parts from it to improve another figure? I'm there.

I'm not so sure about the "these don't sell as well" notion considering that the new Roddy basic sold out immediately without so much as a render image. AND he was priced over 2x retail.

If it's a figure I like, sure. Anchor talent is just that, and with WWE's marketing machine kids today are still exposed to names like Hogan or Warrior.

It depends on who it is there’s certain wrestlers I don’t pass on

No. I mainly buy figures to get signed, and carded figures don't excite me. I did buy the recent Terry "Hulk" Hogan basic figures (to open) because I happened to see them, but I usually don't even pay attention to what basics are coming out.

Sure I'll buy basics, just depends who they are and how it looks! There have been some really nice Basics! Since I'm mostly just displaying them or doing photography with them, the poseability doesn't really matter. I'll buy every figure I can get of the following wrestlers: Ric Flair Hulk Hogan Sting Macho Man Randy Savage Beyond those, it's a case-by-case basis.

The basic Mr Wonderful is one of the best figures Mattel released. And there were so many great Warrior and Sting Basics.

Im thinking about getting that Survivor Series 1988 Warrior and the Wrestlemania V Basics chase Warrior. The body mold isn't bulky enough though and the face scan lacks energy but im sure neither will get released as Elites.
