Loved em in both roles but gonna give the nod to babyface. Greats feuds during the run plus one of my fav WWF themes of all time

I liked both versions, equally. But I'll go with the heel run because he worked with the top guys during that run.

1988/89 heel for me!
but i liked him as face alot too
he's a guy i neer really hated any of his gimmiks. loved him as big bubba rogers in uwf/nwa. loved him wcw and as a swat guy in late 90's wwf.
this is a great idea for ongoing threads, so do more please!

He has great times as both.
Excellent heel during the Twin Towers & Corporate days.
Great face from 90-93 for Vince. I was shocked to see him beat so soundly by Bam Bam at RR93 and that was it for him.
worked on or near the top for 80% of his WWF run

Great face from 90-93 for Vince. I was shocked to see him beat so soundly by Bam Bam at RR93 and that was it for him. After the Mountie feud he did a nose dive for almost all of latter 91 to early 93. It was sad given he was still a top face but new guys were coming in like IRS, Bam Bam and even Doink. What's surprising is that he went over Nailz at Survivor Series. |

I didnt start watching until 89 so I missed the brutal stuff that he did before that so I have to say face. He was actually one of my favorites and I used to proudly wear my Big Boss Man t-shirt and baseball cap, although I lost that baseball cap in the woods! For a big guy he was really fast and it was crazy how much he managed to slim down.
His stuff with the Heenan Family was so much fun and his match with Barbarian at Royal Rumble 91 is a real hidden gem. I still think it was a massive mistake him not winning the IC title at WrestleMania, even if it was just for a few weeks like Texas Tornado the year prior. His stuff with The Mountie is a major highlight for me, I remember watching SummerSlam 91 with my grandfather and he was cracking up so hard at the stuff with The Mountie in jail. Also, the beating he got from Nailz and the photos in the WWF Magazine were one of the most brutal things I had seen in wrestling up to that point.

Shouldve won at Mania in a feel good moment then drop it back to Perfect on SNME a month later thanks to the Mountie to get the ball rolling on that feud |

I remember when he returned to the WWF to attack Austin, when he pulled the mask off to reveal he was back, I popped, even though he was attacking Stone Cold. I still don't know why when he went to WCW, they thought they'd get away with The Boss, and why they just didn't bring him back as Big Bubba Rogers. |

I was juuussst starting to get into this wrestling thing when he and Dusty Rhodes feuded in WWE, and Dusty took his nightstick, and danced around the ring with it to the "Americaaaan Dreammm" song....
Loved that feud, although I also loved watching the Big Boss Man turn babyface! That was just a fun time to be watching!
