That seems about right as far as Jeremy’s mentality.

Dang, well thanks for some input. I guess I just have the raincloud over my head... we’ve seen multiple reviews of the AEW figures from even the most positive figure reviewers some even friends with the Jeremy that have complained about issues from paint, stains and loose joints. You’re not alone. These guys are lying or haven’t unboxed their figures. With The MJF and Mox two pack every single Mox was stained. I bought 3. All were stained.

Yeah their QC is not great. I paid out the ass for the new supreme Sting and its paint apps on the “skull” paint head are crap and the mask accessories paint app is garbage. Not happy.

I think the biggest problem for me is the distribution. Staining shouldn't be happening but it seems like trying to actually meet demand would be something fixed far easier than having to go back to the drawing board on the soft goods (although they definitely DO need to, I just opened my Mox vs. MJF and both arms were horrible stained even with sleeves on). If we do get new waves in it's one set per store usually. That's it. If I start seeing signs in my area I hunt almost daily. Targets near me for some reason only will put out one figure at a time so it's a daily hunt. I guess they know this is it and it has to last. I think my Saraya issue will be endemic on all samples. I noticed the first one mailed to me was pretty cooked from being in a hot mail truck (same for the store one too I guess getting to the store initially, CA is scorching this time of year). I wonder if it caused excessive flexing of the plastic coat or maybe released chemicals in the plastic that caused the paint to lift and flake off. Can't say, but it is what it is, but it is frustrating. I'm sure more Saraya's will come or maybe a cloth aftermarket solution will pop up. In a recent podcast, Jeremy said something to the effect of scaling back production by like 10% to increase the value of the figures. Basically, he would like to scale back to make the figs rare and more of a collector"s item. Geez... Well that sucks. Sounds like Jeremy wants these things to remain MOC in plastic cases their whole lives. Saraya does look great MOC. I found the remnants of wave 15 at another WM but no Saraya. Just Jericho and Samoa Joe with an extra eyebrow painted on his cheek. Wanted to go 3 for 3 with the cracking paint issue on Saraya! Jazzwares offered me 4-different petwarmers. Still debating which one I want. Nyla Rose was the only one that had a chase but I doubt that they'd send me that one, plus she's still holding down the fort at most of the WMs in my town. If anyone needs a Nyla, Trent, Shida or Anna Jay let me know and maybe we work out a trade for some other figure I don't already have!

I thought only hangman warmed the pegs… oh never mind. Jeremey is killing this line and I think they lost magic olmos too. He’s doing some Mattel work now I believe.

I know, none are even holding retail value. I want to agree with the sentiment someone shared earlier that flawed and somewhat hard to get AEW figures are better than no AEW figures, but I don't know how much farther I can take that.

I'm sure Warren Buffett is dashing down the toy aisle looking for value after reading Jeremy's Twitter nonsense on the regular.
We JUST got past the needed product buyback and finally get a hint of new stuff coming down the pipeline, only to for some reason artificially reduce stock. Surely there is someone at Jazwares who understands the purpose and execution of a TOY line? Leave the "value" junk for your Vault stuff.

We all know but it bears saying that nothing made in the last 20-years will hold any real value. Everyone is in the speculation game now. The only reason older toys hold value is because we opened, played with and usually destroyed the product as kids! MOC/MIB or complete samples are rare. These will never be in that category since everyone is buying extras to keep MOC. As a loose collector defects just make my agent orange start to act up! I'll replace that item fast to save my sanity. Just makes people walk away from the line due to frustration. I'm not a rich Kyle Peterson collector (not meant to be disrespect just saying. I need to get into his line of work!). Can't drop a few thou a week at Ringside. Gas and time is money for a guy like me!

It's financially impossible to keep up, unless you are really wealthy.

Many of us have supported these companies a lot than he ever did.
