Bingo. They’re trying to squeeze as much out of the Ali deal before it expires, hence why they’re rushing out so many figures of him. If anything wrestling attire Gorilla is the one being used as bait to help Ali sell in this 4-pack imo as this is clearly an offering that is meant specifically to appeal to the hardcore wrestling fans rather than casual, mainstream consumers. You want that long awaited Gorilla in the wrestling attire and NWA Harley Race with the 10 pounds of gold? Guess you better eat the cost of buying the Ali figure as well whether you’re actually interested in it or not

I have a strong feeling that there will a abundance of loose 4-pack Alis available on the secondary market, to the point where they will be so oversaturated that they’ll go for pennies on the dollar compared to your normal elite figure. I also honestly don’t think this specific Ali will appeal to as many casual fans as the past few releases will given how it’s not of him in his signature white and black boxing shorts

Im personally pretty stoked for Monsoon, I hope that opens the door for another figure from his commentary days. Clearly I'm not the only one who doesn't care about the Ali figure but if it gets Monsoon back in the line I'll take it, ill just display Ali on Monsoon's shoulders so he doesn't take up too much space

Consider yourself blessed. It's definitely the weak link of the set for me but it's cool to see moments like this represented in figure form. I just hope this isn't a one off like it's currently being treated

I could almost see it selling well just because it seems like there's demand for the NWA title and possibly Harley by himself so scalpers might be duplicates. Seeing as it's a release I'm super excited for I'm expecting it to tank hard.

As far as other figures they could do for future sets Steve says the pickings are slim. Id imagine we'll get Buddy Rogers at some point, possibly Pedro Morales, but if they were to do a second set I'd fully expect it to be younger versions of guys they already have, Dusty, Funk, Lawler, and maybe they'll get Flair back.

I could also see them getting some family members of talent they already have signed, Larry Hennig, Stu Hart, Blackjack Mulligan, so on and so forth.

I think it’s a well done figure, so I’m happy to have it in the set.

Id hope Buddy Rogers is a lock, I could see them doing a 2 in 1 kind of deal where they give him an older head and a younger head like they did with the original elite Graham, ideally the original WWWF title as well and pack him with Flair in a territory pack so you can have prime Buddy and him from his feud with Flair.

The legacy pack would be great, the Maivia pack gives me hope for the Funks, Harts, and Poffos
