I hope they make whoever they want to make, and if that collection of figures include the unreleased prototypes then I'm all for that.
At the end of the day, if they're committing a crime and some random bloke from Galoob takes notice, then I'm sure he'll do whatever he's gonna do.
I'd have thought that the talent getting a nice figure and a bit of cash in their pockets would be what we're all about here...
If I recall correctly, they had a few ideas for PN News's attire etc, and went with the one that made sense... Y'know, the obviously unreleased one. As far as I know, Paul Orndorff wasn't an unreleased Galoob, so they're obviously going with their own ideas.
What a random, whiny complaint to have. 😄

So that PN News is just a straight copy of the Galoob one? It's like the wild west now. I understand most people don't really care but the whole "retro" scene seems to be void of any ethics. I assume the logic for PN News is "People want that Galoob, let's make the Galoob they never had a chance to buy"
everything from that point should be new and unique - give us something we didn't get before. fine, take something that didn't work the first time, refine and remake it (better) but some of the stuff we're getting seems to be lost IMO
Paul Orndorff is a massive loss in the Retro community - especially since Mattel have still not made a figure of him to finish off the WM1 headline event.
but is anyone really desperate for an Orndorff in the Galoob style? yes he was around in WCW in 1990/91 when the Galoobs came out, but he's more widely known as a WWF headliner, so wouldn't people be more interested in buying an Orndorff in the Retro style over a Galoob type figure?
Well, he wasn’t around for Hasbros either. I’d take a non Retro from someone other than Mattel as their Retros are quite bad but I also want Galoob Pretty Wonderful. |

And you're waffling on about Galoob workers from 30+ years ago getting ripped off, talking about "sour" "trash" figures and how nobody cares about Gary Galoob getting ripped off when it's pretty unclear whether ANYONE is getting ripped off at all. Was ZST's Jarret a ripoff? Or are these companies, like Major Pod and their LJN retros, simply making the figures most retro figure collectors want to see? I’m all for more Galoob style figures so I hope they succeed. But I haven’t been too impressed with what’s been shown so far honestly. I don’t like the idea of single figure releases to start and the cardback art for PN News doesn’t fit or look very good IMO.

I’m all for more Galoob style figures so I hope they succeed. But I haven’t been too impressed with what’s been shown so far honestly. I don’t like the idea of single figure releases to start and the cardback art for PN News doesn’t fit or look very good IMO. I'm okay with single releases, tbf. I'm honestly just really happy to see this line taking off again as I was/am a big Galoob fan. I'm even happy to buy guys I wouldn't normally buy if they fit into the older collection easily. IMO them making at least one of the unreleased prototypes is an absolutely obvious choice, as Galoob fans have been wanting them for years. I don't see how anyone is getting ripped off in that deal. Hopefully Epic's line will take off and we get two of these companies making Galoobs again. Fantastic 👌 |

Looks and sounds like this isnt happening soon but if powertown gets the nod than we should be in for some nice sculpts. I do think articulation is needed for it to succeed as the bendems style has been won by major bendies.
Looking forward to hearing more about this

I LOVED Galoobs. Sold my collection years ago though. This is so tempting....I have to see what they do next. I think they were soliciting ideas for Mr. Wonderful It’s all very step-by-step. Good dude behind this putting in a lot of work to make it a reality. But from a collectors perspective, I recommend you jump in now if you want to collect Galoobs again; three companies are going to be making them including TRC. PowerTown obtained the Galoob name and will be rolling some out eventually. Epic announce their line (called “Loobs”) and will likely feature Vader as he was announced for their other line the same day. |

He went on attack against anyone who were not a fan of the pricing on social media. More insults towards USA and Americans than anyone else. Another shithead with a toy company, just what we need. I was on the fence about this line, but after that I think I will stick with Loobs if I do start to collect this style figure. Can’t say I’m surprised. His former IG was very snarky as well. I will say I’m kind of surprised he went this far without having the price situated already. Oh well |
