Making so many Hogans and Warriors instead of giving us new versions of current and legend talents was the problem. The main line should be current, with a mix or men and women currently on the roster. The Legends and CC series should focus on legend talent.

There are more than 8 though....
San Diego Comic Con Exclusive is often an Ultimate Legend (Sarge, Muhammed Ali, Mr. T. No Holds Barred)... Coliseum Collection is always Ultimate Legends.... Ringside Exclusive has additional Ultimate Legends (upcoming Hall & Nash for example)... the rings come with Ultimate Legends (Bischoff, Kane, Doink, Macho Man, Diesel)...
They are finding many ways to add more Ultimate Legends.

Umm…maybe I am stupid, but with the exception of Series 18 where they had lost the rights to Savage there’s been at least one Legend in every set of Ultimates until series 21 whether it was a new figure or rerelease. And Series 22 one can argue Cena is the legend/flashback. So one series doesn’t have some sort of Legend in it and the line is crap now!? lol
Now if you had said they felt less special because of the drop down hips then I would agree they feel less special since then. Bu not because out of 22 waves of Ultimate figures one series didn’t have a Legend in it.

I don’t think KP’s issue was the removal of Legends from mainline Ultimates, it was that the number of Ultimates being released now makes them seem less special (moving from 2 to 3 per wave, adding Legends sublines, etc). Personally, as someone who grew up in the 80’s and still loves the LJNs as my favorite ever action figures, I absolutely love the Coliseum Collection as an homage to the line that got me (and others, I’m sure) into wrestling in the first place. I don’t want that line to end or slow any more than it already is. I wish we would get more releases per year in this line!

Ultimates are the best wrestling figs ever made and I love the main line is now sticking primarily with current talent.
There plenty of other offerings they give for legends in the ultimate line, too, which is awesome.
I’m very thankful that more are coming out and there are multiples lines with them.
Give me more. I love Ultimates.

Nah we still need hulk still rules and mr america as ultimates Then they can never make another hogan as far as I care. We need way more Warriors too to be fair

I disagree.
Mainline ultimates should increase to 4 per series.
3 current 1 legend.
Like what elite line had for a while.
Never understood the "it's not special no more cause theres more" argument.
That's the point, get more out there.

Kyle Peterson looks like a regular sized Hornswoggle which is why I refuse to watch any of his reviews

Started feeling less special to me when they released Diesel with the accessories I’d expect with an elite.

Ultimates definitely felt like a "special" collection at one point, but now they're just making everyone on the roster, and multiples of everyone. It's definitely watering down the appeal for a $35 figure that comes with almost the same amount of stuff as an elite
Extra heads and hands are NOT a huge selling point for me personally...you can only use one head or pair of hands at a time
Look at the recent set, Series 21...Gunther comes with the same see-thru soft goods coat as his last Elite so you're essentially paying $10 for an IC belt and 2 heads. Jey Uso? even worse, you're paying $10 for 2 heads and the samoan lei and cena you're paying $10 for 2 heads and that little towel accessory
forget the different body type, those molds are created and paid for already Ultimates cannot possibly cost that much more than an elite when they are re-using so many parts.
When the line was first introduced it seemed like they were going to be able to just make truly PREMIUM versions of legends, etc. Like the Ric Flair, you know that figure would never fit in the budget for a regular elite wave. Now they're just more expensive figures with a few extra goodies that 90% of us either sell or put away in a ziploc
I love Ultimates though, the presentation and look of them are very nice. But they absolutely do not feel "special" anymore

Dropdown hips killed it for me. The toe articulation was obnoxious enough to me, but the dropdown hips are keeping me away. I was so stoked to get Asuka and that amazing robe. Then I accidentally pulled down her leg and went, “Oh, right. Dropdown hips.” And I gave a “meh” face.
As a hardcore fiddler, drop down hips feel fragile to me and limit range of motion. They’re better for like a Big Boot, but not by much. And my Ultimate AJ Styles’ legs are getting a little floppy in the hips. If the point of dropdown hips is to help with posing, how? It creates a gap between the thigh and the crotch piece that looks weird. What poses does it help with? If it’s for playability, I feel like I’m in danger of snapping the mechanism.

That's the point, get more out there. Well keep in mind that I think the Ultimates are packed 4 per case.... so if you are raising it up to 4 different figures, each will only be packed 1 per case. Which I suspect will translate to 1 of each figure-per-store in a lot of series. These things are hard enough to find already, I think the only reason Ultimates haven't been THAT hard to find on the shelves is due to the higher price point AND they usually pack 2-per-case of the anticipated "hot seller" - but in the event they put a real hot figure in there, each store will then get only one, for the most part....

I just wish more outlets carried these Target/Walmart lines directly.
But they don’t. So it is what it is tbh

I will say I am not a fan of the mainline Ultimate packaging. I get that it is to show off all of the extras, but it does nothing for a MOC display. Legends Elites look much better MOC to me. Of course, once again, Coliseum Collection has the best MOC display of all to me.
