What goes up must come down! Fans will tire of Cody soon. Doubt it. People been saying this for over two years. Those people are either life long Cody haters or still mad he bounced on AEW. Either way, they're the minority.

Literally marginalizing an opposing opinion *shaking my head* To the lengths you take it? Absolutely. Completely marginalized because it doesn't matter, ultimately. It's just amusing. Your disdain for Cody seems unhealthy. Unless there's an ulterior motive. Like trolling Cody fans.

Ultimately it won’t matter, because I do agree with you - the motives behind his behavior seem to be much more than just an opposing opinion.

U can't deny the Cody fanbase at all When you have several non English speaking countries singing your theme song at the top of their lungs, chances are you're at the top of the heap.

Imagine accepting a subpar, undeveloped, afterthought of a story as the greatest ever, while trolling and harassing those who are actually advocating for their claimed guy to receive the strongest push available and have done so for years lmfao
When Michael Cole referenced at WrestleMania that he foresaw Cody being a top star at Dusty's 2007 HOF induction speech, I wholeheartedly was that person. Without even knowing Cody was training and already in the WWE pipeline.
I was a decent fan of the Dashing/Undashing character work at a time when WWE was struggling to keep my interest and was a huge fan of the Rhodes Scholars.
Stardust was criminally underused and should have held the IC Title in lieu of the likes of Ambrose, Bryan, and Ziggler in the mid 'Teens.
After Cody demanded his release due to WWE's disinterest in him, he sat fires wherever he went. TNA/Impact should have fought like hell to keep him around, one of the best talents at their disposal. His program with Aldis gave the NWA a rub not seen in decades. Wasn't able to see too much of him in ROH (his first true World Title) but BC Rhodes in New Japan was a fun iteration.
When Cody was elitely breaking thrones and fighting scones (Anthony Ogogo, hello), I heavily advocated for a heel run. A subversion of the overbearing, never-give-up babyface that was well played out and greatly unwanted would have saved him face (re: the exact tactic WWE is using right now to rehab Roman Reigns back to their true top babyface of choice).
My only knocks on Cody Rhodes extend to rejecting a run-saving heel turn; and for either grossly misinterpreting WWE's newfound interest in him, or misleading a receptive audience and abusing their trust in him to selfishly boost his popularity and allowing himself to be reduced to a tool of a malevolent power hungry corporation, a standard I hold all talents to.
Try harder

rkmo: Autonomous Meat Shield you don't like Cody because he didn't/doesn't do what you wanted/want him to. Noted. Feel free to stop the trolling from your side. You're keeping this alive just as much as anyone else is.

Cody left the company, and did everything he did including starting a new company and smashing a throne, because he wanted Vince to see him as his next John Cena. Cody got everything he wanted. He just played the long game. Pro wrestling is politics. Man is a politician, and that’s not really a bad thing if he’s doing it right.
I doubt anyone is really that bothered that Rock/Roman didn’t happen this year. Especially Rock who got to refresh his image and Roman who got a much needed break from carrying the company’s image.
