I know there is nothing official, and there has been back and forth on how definitive the connection is, but the WWE Supercard game just added a Macho Man Randy Savage card to the new tier in the game - the first new Macho Man in a few years.
I am not saying that he is back and available for figures, but considering how other cards recently added or re-added to the game have preceded a new figure, I thought it was worth it's own thread.

While I’d love to see a Coliseum Collection figure with Liz, I’m also really enjoying seeing these independent companies making retros, bendems, and LJN tributes. So at the end of the day either way I think it’s working out for figure collectors.

So at the end of the day either way I think it’s working out for figure collectors. Agreed, that Mach Big Rubber Guy is definitely cream that rose to the top. |

I'll be honest: outside of the Big Rubber Guy, I haven't really cared for the smaller toy companies Macho Man offerings. I need that cancelled Ultimate. And I'll take a BRG Macho King too lol

I could live with that being the last Savage we got for years if that's how things played out. I started collecting fairly recently so the only Savages I have are an old legends release and the mediocre NWO ultimate so im fiending for some classic savage figures with modern articulation |

A trunks Ultimate is the glaring missing Macho Would love to see them re-release or release more versions of Wolfpac Macho Man as well, especially since that RSC exclusive one is still stupidly expensive to this day even before they lost the rights to his likeness |

I mess with zero wrestling figs, outside of Jazwares & Mattel. Seeing Macho figs made by smaller companies just makes me mad AF 'cause I don't want to buy their crap. I hope this Supercard thing is the visibility that Mattel can make Macho figs; 'cause the fact they cannot, but little companies can, is a GD crime.

I checked the shop dot com, as I do pretty often. Best I can tell he doesn’t have anything new. My guess is when he has a figure / merch deal, we’ll see new stuff there first, If Mattel doesn’t announce.
My guess is he is under some sort of likeness only licensing deal, cover video and video games etc, but not specifically new merch including figures, shirts etc etc. of course that is all based of my extensive 13 second internet search!!! LOL!

2k owns both SuperCard and WWE 2k24.
Likely 2k used the same license they had for SuperCard as they did for the video game.
If you play the game, in the begining credits macho man is mentioned like Andre is.
I have a feeling someone else has figure rights.
Steve mentioned not too long ago that they still don't have any deal in place, and this was after WWE 2k24 was released. Macho being in super card likely means nothing to the figure world.
I can't wait for Macho figs again, but don't get your hopes up.

Savage is going to end up back under a WWE deal sooner or later. It's mutually beneficial for both sides, and if WWE truly was trying to push for exclusive licensing, I think they'll eventually back down. It's just a matter of whether that's happened already or has yet to happen.

I absolutely want Macho in my Coliseum Collection. But I also LOVE the Macho Big Rubber Guy as my current toy of the year! So imo this Mattel break may have been a good thing. I’m ready for him to “come back home” now.
