Cope needed two tables to break the fall (and also probably shouldn't have landed feet first).

So it's unsafe for a 50 year old to do this, But it's safe for 30 year olds to this, I fail to see the logic here. Well, not saying he’s right, but one is jumping from a large height and landing on your feet when the padding of the ring could easily prevent landing correctly and the other is just taking a bump on a gimmicked ladder.
Coming down blindly and landing spine first on a solid/elevated object is a great way to destroy your back in numerous ways whether you're 50, 30, or 20 the same way a 50, 30, or 20 year old is risking destroying a foot/knee by coming off the cage into the ring the way Copeland did. Acting like one is safer than the other based on the wrestling umbrella it took place under is a nonsensical argument.

Yeah accidents happen regardless of age. But as someone who is 57 years old I can tell you I can’t jump off the bed of my truck like I did from my teens - early 40’s without getting hurt or feeling it for a few days after. So yeah jumping off a 15 foot high cage at his age even if he landed correctly wasn’t going to end but one way.
