Is the Maivia Legacy 3-Pack the Worst Selling 3-Pack Ever?

Dude, my brother, I like you a lot.

But we literally already had a $100 3-Pack. On Ringside. The 3 Faces of Foley set was $100 bucks and it sold out multiple shipments before anyone had them in hand.

That said, if you only sell basics and knuckle crunchers at walmart, some of us are gonna be really really unhappy and dragging our disabled a&&es to wally world for groceries will become far less appealing. At least this way I have the hope of MAYBE scoring something cool.

I had the opposite experience, I was never able to find a single one of that Hogan 3-pack whenever I went out to Target over a dozen time during the 3 or so months window when they were released up and until they were clearanced out and no longer getting restocked. Only reason I was able to get the packs that I did get my hands on was because it was available briefly on Target.com, and even then it sold out relatively quickly every time it went back in-stock. I think the demand for nWo and 2002-03 Hulk Rules Hogans is actually pretty high, it’s the more obscure looks of his like the white singlet, Ichiban, and Real American guitar playing Hogans that struggle to move at retail

After seeing just how poorly this set has sold, I don’t know if, how, or when Bill and Steve will be able to convince the powers in charge to release another pre-Golden Era WWF guy like Tony Atlas. Rocky Johnson at least got the rub of being The Rock’s pop, Atlas will struggle even more to sell. I guess being apart of a Mattel Creations Territories bundle is possible but who knows, that one supposedly got greenlighted by the higher-ups in the 1st place primarily because of Ali’s presence in the set

Problem is I want a Soul Man and High Chief for my collection, but not for $70 and I don't need another random rock. Should have just made it a two pack or Colosseum Collection 2 pack of those two. If it drops to $20-$25 I'll probably grab one. Black Friday is coming up and all that.

This is a case of Mattel and co, choosing what they should make and sell, rather than what the people want. Literally no one asked for this.

Yet, countless asks for DX,nWo, ect sets. Crickets.

It's one of those "no one asked for it, but it's there", kind of thing. As most has stated, individual figures would have been better.

But my point to that was, they are not giving the kind of sets the majority are asking for. Not to mention, when they say they don't want to explore box sets after the HOF box set years ago from target and then they started popping out with these. So far all box sets that have been released after that have been pretty lackluster (excluding the Hogan set as that's different imo). This being the worst of the bunch imo.

Peter Mavia would've sold on his own, and now likely he will never get a solo figure. I'm sure he has to have a planned one coming...but Mattels track record with contracts, well you and I along with everyone else knows they suck with that. Bill wanted try to be cool and have a Randy/Randy ultimate set. Guarantee that Macho ultimate gets released if it just came out in the prior series if Bill didn't do the "hee hee hee let's wait! It'll be cool for have that series Randy Randy!!

Absolutely a handful of people surely wanted these, but those people already got it long ago and now they a clogging the shelf. Which is fine. Hopefully Walmart agrees to never have exclusives after this.

Yeah but we have not seen 100$ 3 packs at walmart which wS my point. Like ya too but the average shopper at Walmart doesn't have 100$ to spend on toys. They go there to buy stuff cheap. Their clearance aisles are always empty for a reason.

I don't believe a hogan 3 pack PRODUCED IN THESE AMOUNTS would sell even at 75$.

This 3 pack was just overordered/overproduced... end of story. If it sold for 50$ it would still sit.

Walmart just sucks at everything they do. How they thought this would sellout is beyond me. They clearly don't understand the wwe collector. All they had to do was make a deal with mattel for at least one figure that is extremely in demand. The only figurexsets that I could see selling for 100$ or more at Walmart is Lod and demolition. Or a 3 pack with akeem, Haku.
