For instance, say that you want Ravishing Rick Rude released specifically from Wrestlemania VI. Would this get ruled out from being released just because he faced Jimmy Snuka at this event? On the back of the card they may have to mention Snuka being the opponent for Rick Rude. Do these types of figures not get made just because of name association? Kevin Owens literally took his ring name from Owen Hart. I don't think you can get much more into the "forbidden name association" than that and they went ahead and let him do it anyway. And if they let him go out there as that every week, then I don't see why action figures would be bound by name association with someone. The most they'll do is get creative with the box/card. Ah yeah.....that guy. The fanboy cosplaying as a wrestler. Used to like him until I met him in person. Put it this way - he don't like fans. |

Disregarding the fact that we've already seen that this isn't a factor (the aforementioned SummerSlam '04 Orton), we could always look to the way the folks at 2K circumvented it in the Triple H/Shawn Michaels showcase in WWE 2K15 when it came time to mentioned WrestleMania XX:
"The Game would once again cross paths with Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 20 in a triple threat match - that neither would leave with championship gold!"

Not to be that person but, From the multitude of friends of mine who have had a chance to meet him, several on multiple occasions, and a couple who have gotten to actually talk to him outside a formal meet-n-greet environment, he usually only rejects fans who are rude to him first. So take that however you will, but personally, I find it really hard to believe that someone who went out of his way to buy a VCR and installed it just so he could record one of his old matchtapes onto an iPad at 3 am for a fan and send it to them personally... doesn't like fans. |

Good to hear. Possibly I caught him in the wrong mood, it was just after SMACKDOWN. I asked him for a pic and he straight up stared me with a smirk on his face, shook his head and walked away as if to say "get a life you pathetic, fanboy hound" In those few seconds it made me feel like crap. |
