Which do you guys prefer? We got new belts coming out, but they seem to have the wrestler-specific personalized side plates. But my OCD kicks in and goes, “Well, I can’t put this belt on anyone but Seth Rollins because it has his side plates.”

I want the generic WWE side plates. The Rock is the only exception. The only SuperStar logos I would like on the side plates are from SuperStars who left the WWE (Jericho and Angle), or retired (Austin, Flair, Hogan) before the Spinner Belt was replaced.

Technically you can put it on whoever. When Drew won the belt it had Seth plates and when he lost it to that guy who cashed in from Judgment Day it still had Seth plates. It will always have the prior champ’s plates on it until it gets switched over but a belt never has the WWE plates other than if it’s the first person to win it.

I’m 50/50 with it good and bad
Like the Elite 110 Roman side plates like he didn’t have them side plates long cause at Summerslam he had one side plate with his superman punch pose.
But then it’s good cause it represents when a Wrestler is the champion so you know who is champion.
However on the bad side some people want the new titles without the wrestlers logo on it like would be good to get the elite 110 title for Cody but has the Roman side plates and now you have to wait for another Cody to get the updated title.

as a loose collector.... I want Mattel to make a "shiny paint" / premium style belt pack with generic side plates so I can use those on my roster display
and then I'll just keep the belts with the side plates on the respective elite or ultimate figure they came with

I really dislike the personalized side plates. It’s especially unwanted for the rarer titles like the US and IC that don’t try released as often.

Generic. Makes them more usable and functional. I was thinking about getting the recent Gunther/Misterio 2pack that comes with the IC title. But when I saw it had specific Gunther plates, that turned me off.
What makes it funny is belts are supposed to be an incentive to buy the figure. But if the belt is designed in a way that it can only be used with only one specific figure, its not worth it.

I like both but I prefer with the wrestlers side plates because even if the belt doesn’t match the wrestler who’s holding the belt I can pretend that they just won it from them whether they actually did or not I also love the belts that have a wrestlers name plate

Generic, but looks like they'll be making wrestler specific versions from now on. Which is a shame because the new belt designs (starting with 109 Rollins) are all going to be wrestler specific. Would be fine if they included swap out pieces but we know they won't do that.
I dunno, but I personally have just passed buying 109 Rollins because my only incentive was the belt. Don't really want to pay full figure price for a belt that I can't properly use the way I want to.
Whereas I bought a Shinsuke back in the day when the new IC belt was released with him.

Only ultimates should get the personalized plates.
Everything else under it should be Generic.
Or for brand new titles, needs to be a rule, generic has to be released at least 5 different times before a personalized one gets made.
Yay brand new title!!! Guess what they screwed you.

I think the belts should come generic and certain long reigning champs should come packed w switchable personalized plates

Swappable side plates would be really cool - and imo the only way to do personalised plates.
They should default as generic.

Generic. The character specific ones are pretty frustrating honestly. I mean Roman is obviously fine as the exception, but look at Priest. Rollins is the only figure that comes with that belt so far, and Priest will most definitely have dropped the title by the time he gets a figure representing that belt. Same could be said if Drew wins and only makes it to SummerSlam or whatever. Same thing is going on with Logan Paul, who is wearing a Bobby Lashley US Title in my collection right now. It's just goofy.
Maybe do character specific on just the Ultimates? I don't know. I'd just genuinely rather have generic side plates.

Plate packs seem like the best solution but I doubt that they would do it.
