I can’t get the back to connect to the seat for the life of me. Am I missing a piece? Guess they stopped including little white paper instructions. Should just click together id think.   |

It seems effortless in this video:
Based on the shape of the lower half, maybe a part of the hinge (middle) is missing on the upper half?
EDIT: yeah, definitely the middle hinge missing. The upper half is supposed to slide onto the middle part which would have already been connected to the lower half, as seen here:
