The only thing I really remember from that WCW run was how cool their blue shoulder pads looked.

Yea they thought they negotiated a deal where they could go to Japan and be back and forth. Apparently that wasn’t the case. But what’s funny is a year later they are back in WwF and aren’t going to Japan on tours anymore.

Especially during that time when the NWO angle was taking off

Were the Road Warriors WCW run before their AWF run when they were trying to win the tag titles from Tommy Rich and Greg Valentine??

Thats really what I loved about WCW though. It was such a living ecosystem of wrestlers haha.. So many times you’d see somebody like Marty Jannetty pop up at random and then rarely see them again. It’s one of the things I loved about it, you never knew who was going to appear.

I remember at Slamboree 96 that Hawk and Animal were on opposite sides in the lethal lottery tag match. That was cool at least.

They seemed out of place for some reason. I liked that they jumped back to the WWF in 1997.

WWF 90-92, WCW 96, WWF 97-99
All underwhelming. They never came anywhere close to their dominant 80s run after leaving WCW in 90
