I recall Taker/Bret having a good lil match at MSG in early 92 I think that is the one Undertaker was talking about on his podcast. I need to check that out as I have never seen it. They also worked together on the classic Slam Jam song too

Taker vs Bret vs HBK. Huge Triple Threat right there.

Taker vs Bret vs HBK. Huge Triple Threat right there. That should have been the Survivor Series 1997 main event. Those three were all in each other's business during the summer and fall of 1997, so it would have made sense. Bret would have lost to Taker. Shawn could have had a hand in it so it made it look like Bret was screwed out of the title which would have made the original plan of him quitting the next night on Raw make more sense. Shawn and Ken Shamrock could have still fought at the December IYH, but instead of being for the title it would have been a #1 contender's match. Shawn and Taker face off at RR98 with Shawn winning, now everything goes the same as it happened.

Everything would have stayed the same plus we'd get a dream match outta it. Taker could have also gotten a rematch since he was screwed by Kane against HBK in the HIAC number one contenders match. That would have been an easy set up right there for the Triple Threat. That means no screw job tho, an iconic moment lol. Bret would have returned by 02 I'd say without the screw job.
