ibb.co/jTYZwqSibb.co/qjx9nNjibb.co/9Wj5NtVibb.co/tx2ZD86My favorite toys ever. Period. This is my childhood collection, still proudly displayed in my home office. The only replacement is Big John Studd, who I had bought MOC about 10 years ago, but whose package got ruined by water damage while in storage. I was able to salvage the figure, and became a nice Mint Loosey (Studd was my first ever wrestling figure, so a fitting one to have Mint). And yes, I know the Slaughter isn’t actually LJN, but he came out during this era and fits in nicely to me.

I'm a bit too young to truly appreciate the LJN line, but I can respect a well curated collection. Loving the Coliseum Collection so far, hopefully that covers even half as much ground as you've got with the LJNs

I am painfully jealous of all the stuff Big Rubber Guys have been putting out, id give a kidney to have Demolition, Road Warriors, Jannetty, and Dynamite Kid back in the fold fold for Mattel

Quick question if you dont mind, clearly youre an LJN guy so I'm curious, do you think the Coliseum Collection should be direct remakes of the LJN figures give or take some accessories or do you like the tweaks and updates Mattel has made (Pipers trunk color, Funks chap color, the Hart Foundations attire, etc etc)?

I wish they were closer to the LJN looks, but still think the CC looks great carded, regardless.

Did you score the beloved black cards as a kid too? Or acquire at an older age? Either way, awesome!

Some may have noticed I don’t have alternate versions or “chases” of most, other than the two different Hogan molds, and having black-strap Andre to go along with the original. Getting these as a kid, I remember not being able to convince my parents to get me another SD Jones when they had first bought me the red shirt one, and I later found him with the more “toyetic” Hawaiian shirt. I’ve thought about going back to get him, short hair/ blue trunks Andre, etc, but where does it stop? Kirschner with and without beard? Different color ref shirts and Liz skirts? Hart Foundation slight color variations? The list goes on. I’ll probably stay as is and not go down the rabbit hole. I have all of the original characters. Good enough for me!

By the time I was getting the final figures though, I’d become pretty obsessive and not wanting to damage them when I played.

Very impressive and really cool the way you have them displayed. I never had any LJNs, I got into wrestling in 1989 and I am not even sure if they were available here in the UK. I did get all the LJN Bendies though they were at a clearance store in around 1990-1991 and I got the whole set and a knock off wrestling ring.
I had the Jakks LJN figures and I actually liked them, well until John Cena and they made them much smaller, it is crazy that the JLN Rock was the only one where Jakks made sure NOT to give him wrist tape, used to drive me insane how they would give every Rock wristtape. I had them in the attic, but they got all moldy and sticky, I was able to get the sticky stuff off, but that blue mold would not budge no matter what I used.

I started buying them moc around 2012. Expensive then, but just crazy now.

Yeah, some of mine are sticky too, but I’m keeping them in the case now, so I’m okay with it. Never really liked the Jakks versions, myself. The size being smaller and cartoon style felt off to me.
