I just hate that Walmart has basically been hoarding its inventory ALL YEAR so they can dump 30 cases of elites all at once. It's such a crap business practice. I have the luxury of being able to hit literally dozens of Walmarts to figure hunt. I'm pretty sure since the post-christmas clearout of all the top picks Jey Uso & Roman Reigns the only mainline elite set I saw with any consistency was Series 105 and 106.....but even that was like 1 case here or there. And usually it was gone within a week or two. Now all these Walmarts have 14 cases of Top Picks, and either Elite 107/108/109....I saw a couple shippers with Greatest hits Wave 3. It's like instead of just continuing to order/ship and stock product they just said "ok what do we need to get to last another 6 months? get that and put it all on one pre-pack" Now that's all picked through, the guys who have 30 figures on each shipper will sit there until Christmas when parents are looking for a Seth for their kid. And we're back to square one. Whoever is managing inventory and ordering for toys at Walmart is horrible at their job...but since these things are getting cleared out by collectors and scalpers, they will see HUGE numbers and say "well the shipper thing works" 2024 has been a real wake up call for me.... I used to love & depend on "hunting" for figures at the retail stores, but it's been a completely fruitless chore this year. I feel like we're living in some sort of "figure depression" because I've never seen the shelves THIS empty. It's like these stores are trying to see HOW LONG they can go without stocking these figures. Target's been bad too, and while they've mastered the Distribution of the Legends figures (don't change a thing).... they also have been horrible about going months & months with zero WWE products on the shelf. I'm really coming to the conclusion that I'm going to start depending on Amazon, Ringside, & Mattel Creations moving forward, and if I can't get it there? I won't be adding it to my collection. I don't know what's going on at retail but I'm quite honestly tired of complaining about it and nothing ever changes.     |

I’m not going to pretend like I know why shelves are empty because I have no damn clue what they are like that. But I think it helps to have multiple targets/walmarts you can check. My closest Target looks like the pics you posted, bare and never got anything, when new legends hit they appear the day of release at 6-7 other targets around me , it’s takes weeks for my local Target to put anything out. I think it comes down to store manager, not knowing when to have things ordered to be stocked. Honestly don’t think it’s the people who stock because every morning I’m in the target there’s always stocking toys, just never seem to be stocking WWE figures, but if you ask for them they’ll go to the back and bring what you ask for out. Went to a target about 30 min from me today and they had a lot in stock, all of the Legends 23 Hogan was gone, had a few of the others still there. Stopped back by my local target just to check and see what they had and it’s just a few of legends 22 and 3 Hogan basics. Been that way for about 2 months or longer |

Target is definitely got it right with the Legends series. Full cases of each figure, multiple shipments. And MOST of it sells....they have to be happy with the performance.
That being said, in this current year I think Target in my area has stocked a total of 3 different mainline elite sets
105, Wrestlemania 40 and 107
even those its basically 1 case per store and its wiped within days. even WM40 Rock/Cena sold out fast
Retail has just completely stopped managing their inventory and having any kind of consistency with product. They think by having the shelves bare its creating this like "must-have-it" feeling and they think that by getting you to constantly check stores its increasing business for everything else (well I'm here, might as well pick up that other thing I needed)

She was always one of the first to go when I first saw these hit at Target a month or so ago. Grabbed a 3rd one the other day. Great figure just wish they would update the boot hinge. |
