I actually only got any points because of Yago/MIYAWAKI/KUDO (who you dropped) getting me like 20 points alone at KoT. And saying it's unfair to have a late pick makes no sense, as you obviously had the better team because you are picking so late. In total, you'd be keeping 2 UCW (that means I'd keep like Rave and Jigsaw for example, good bye Morishima, Tornado, and Quicksilver, three guys who could score amazing points) and 3 LCW, 5 of your 13 wrestlers. And LCW/good Free Agents are so easy to come by it's ridiculous. It is honestly like the perfect format and is totally, 150% fair. I dont happen to agree. I think the only fair way is 1 pick per round. Thats why I decided not to come back next season. Your game, run it the way you see fit.

Fine with me. Even though out of the first 4 teams to pick in the draft, 3 of those teams have the worst records. Albeit, some of this may be bad luck and we are only 2 weeks in, but it shows the beginning of what could be a trend. It's all in the drafting/FA strategy. I drafted last and have the best record. The 2-picks per round obviously worked fine.

People are already thinking about next season? That's like 5 months away... Only cuz of draft picks, Nathan. BTW, since I wont be returning next season. Anyone want to trade some of their guys for my first and second round picks?

Done deal.
And Showstopper, I'd be willing to make you a trade for your 1st or 2nd round pick.

You know, in a way, I'm pretty against this rule. Because, right off the bat, people are getting way more of an advantage.
Showstopper is NOT going to be in the league next year, so he doesn't care. So it seems that Dean is getting an advantage is going to pick four guys in the first or second round...right off the bat.
To me, more than Showstopper's problem with the draft, is the definition of unfair.

I'm not coming back b/c so I got nothing to lose. Whoever gets my picks will be in a dominate position. Proof that the current system just doesnt work as is.

The only thing that s this all up is that people are not guaranteed to be back next season. In the NFL, you are guaranteed to be a team next season, so draft picks are okay. So you guys are right, this rule won't really work. AMENDMENT.

So you guys are right, this rule won't really work. AMENDMENT. Wait one second. Your analogy with the NFL does not work. My team will be back next season. Just because I, the head coach, will not does not mean my team wont be. So trading draft picks is right with that analogy. I didnt see it from that side, Dean. Other head coaches walk into franchises that dont have a first round pick the next season all the time. There is no real difference. Bring the draft pick trading back! If someone wants my first round pick, other than you, then they should package a deal up to get it.

No, Nate is right. You won't be there to deal with to loss of a first-rounder, and I am not going to make the person that takes your spot loose a first round pick.
The only way this could work is if I make it so your replacement is automatically down one first round draft pick, which could put them at a total disadvantage if you trade away all your picks, as they could only keep the same amount of wrestlers as everyone else.
So it really is not fair in any way.

But bringing the NFL analogy brings up that the draft pick trading rule is how it really works. But this is fantasy, so I can see why you said what you said. Ugh! Now I cant pull any blockbuster deals off. What if I said I would come back? Could I trade my draft pick then?

No because what if you say you come back but your computer explodes and you can't enter the draft or something.
Trading draft picks just won't work in a league like this.
