Makes sense. And if that remains my only way of getting LJN style versions of Bad News Brown and The Bushwhackers, I may eventually “scratch that figure itch!” Have they done Hercules? I’m not finding him on Etsy, and really want a ring-gear version of him in this form factor. Patience, Brother! The powers that be are all over names like these I'm sure. In due time you will get properly licensed, and packaged, figures of these 2 at a reasonable price to boot! Those etsies may look great, but just bide your time! Agreed. Would probably only pull the trigger if/when BRGs ends and no other comparable lines rise.

Big Rubber Guys and XOX custom Anyone here bought any XOX customs and can speak to their quality? I’ve been curious about them, like them from the pics, but the price point is a little high, especially now with the BRG collection building. In person, I saw the XOX Toys at the Maryland Toy Expo, and they almost brought me to tears. I was that impressed. They are truly unbelievable in person.

I think I will still wait things out as the BRG line builds. Much more affordable and building a consistent and nice LJN homage collection. But if it ever ends without any worthwhile heir apparent…

No doubt they look fantastic on Etsy, but I see no packaging. Was there anything special for packaging if you were to buy in-person?

Nah, they were just in bags with a card stapled over the top of the bag.

After speaking with AJ more, he decided to wait to do the video announcement until after he returns from a trip. He did say he will have production figures in hand by the end of August.

New 4.5 inch figures: I’ll give it that it does look “very 80s” but still not for me.

Whoa! 4.5 inch articulated. Now that changes things. There might be something here, depending on the price point. I like the tie-in to LJN too.
Looks to maybe have articulation at the waist, arms, and neck.
Edit: Just checked the site and it's still listed at $49.99. That seems high for a 4.5-inch fig.
2nd Edit: I stand corrected. I overlooked the updated figure posted on the site. It's listed for $34.99. I like it!!

So LJN size and Hasbro size? They are using their LJN design, shrinking it down to around Hasbro size, and adding articulation. So far I have only seen it in two Facebook groups and it was getting a fair amount of negativity. On paper it doesn’t sound like a bad idea and the prototype looks pretty close to the LJN…so I’m not sure why there has been as much hate as I’ve seen. www.instagram.com/reel/C-OmwTUP-1m/?igsh=MThiNXZjdTk0ZjVjcw==

It actually looks a bit better in that straight on view pic.

I’d have to see them next to some other figures

I'm actually in love with that design. It doesn't look like a modern day "retro" or remade 80's toy, it looks like something actually produced in the 1980's!
I think that GI Joe o-ring wrestlers were the best case scenario for wrestling figures back then, but these would have been better than what we got with LJN imo. Not to say that I dislike the LJN line by any stretch.
If you're already collecting the Superstars line, that also more than scratches that 80's kid itch though, those are also tremendous, even without the action features, which most modern toys don't utilize anymore.
