Steve seemed to shoot this down on the MWFP group. Not saying it won't happen, but wrestling 101 though, deny deny deny so the people are shocked at the return. We need a collectors version of Meltzer or Sean Ross Hack, so we know when to expect the exact opposite of what they "report" and they use the classic fallback of "plans changed". We got Buddy. Buddy from the Toy Shoppe would never sell us down the river for clicks.

Not getting my hopes up, also not giving UP hope.
I do feel someday we'll get him back, and when we do, I hope I have the money to throw at Mattel for all the ones I want.

I agree they would want it to be a surprise, but it doesn't appear that he has any new merchandise yet available on wweshop other than what was there before his contract expired. If he were signed, I feel like they would push out new merch that had a faster turnaround time (like shirts).

Meltzer is washed and has an awful track record in recent years. SRS actually has broken a ton of big stories and overall does a damn good job of being responsible. "Plans changed" never raises my eyebrows, because I always assume everything is fluid in the wrestling business. Too bad that's now 90 percent of Meltzer's journalism.

Hoping for some announcement made next week. That'd be pretty great news. The CC line desperately needs him lol.

It's odd because Savage has been in every 2k video game.

I get being hopeful but people will see someone drop an elbow and be like “Did they get the Macho Man rights back?!?”
Someone else pointed out it’s an old listing. Had it been real and for the MNW line, it wouldn’t be a PPV attire unless it was worn on Nitro.

Hope he comes back on, just not exclusive for Mattel I hope, so the indy companies can keep making him.

To be fair, Meltz is the only one who uses "plans changed" because he refuses to admit he was wrong. Ross is just a hack.

Id like to think the new regime is open to doing non exclusive contracts so we're gonna start seeing guys like macho, the road warriors, and demolition from Mattel as well as the indie companies. It's possible I'm wrong, but I hope that's the case

Who do you know that breaks more stories at this time? I feel like most of the major leaks over the last several years have come from Fightful, and he seems to be on pretty good terms with everybody from Cody Rhodes on down. It's fans that have a really contentious relationship with the wrestling media.

I hope so, I could definitely see them being the next Coliseum Collection set if they do have a deal done. That being said I'm not going to get my hopes up just yet

That being said I'm not going to get my hopes up just yet While I would LOVE them in the Coliseum Collection, I’d think they would want to reach a larger audience- like Target’s Legends line or Ringside’s tag team Ultimate sets. Though we could/should get them multiple times, really.

For some people (like me) the updated articulation, extra heads, and packaging of the CC would be a good enough selling point to get both. It's also possible though unlikely that they don't include the mask, vest, or gauntlets in a legends release to make the CC versions feel more important, or they could add the spiked chaps. I suppose we'll have to see. It's possible they'll get the Albano treatment and only get a legends release
