I had heard Steve comment in multiple interviews that a set of just managers would “tank the line” but that a single manager paired with a strong “anchor” is still possible. So that Macho/Liz set isn’t so far-fetched, if he ever comes back. But this far in with zero non-wrestlers to date does suggest they are hesitant- even admitting they shifted from putting Albano from a slotted CC spot to the Legends line instead. Albano needs to be made to order from MC. His $23 Legends figure is rotting, and not even moving at half price clearance. I don’t know if he’d be the wisest choice for this Coliseum Collection line That’s sad. It’s an excellent figure! Goes to show how small the golden era market is when it’s not the bigger stars of the era (Hogan, Andre, Savage, Warrior, Piper, etc).

Mattel seemed to do as good at SDCC as they did at Mania a few months ago. The bar was high but they rose to the occasion. What do you guys think? Lots of great figures revealed, but disappointed by the lack of new names for Legends.

I don't know why they can't release a list of legends that they have under contract. That way it will save people on here from disapointment and too high expectations. We are supposed to guess that Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Magnificent Muraco is or isn't under contract. The good thing about collecting other lines - Masters of the Universe, for example, is that we will get most of the characters so that the line will be almost complete to a satisfying level. We don't know who we will get in terms of Legends. He has answered that in his thread and on pods (shout out to wrestling figure news pod, it is excellent) but that it is not a one day a year or some other easy marker to track legends with. People are added and dropped all the time, and the list would have to be maintained constantly, not a lot of ROI for that.

Its also not always on Mattel for not having certain guys available...I'd be willing to bet a handful of them at least or their estates have not wanted to sign with WWE
the independent companies are probably paying a better rate

Don’t think i missed it but did they say what Orton won the Fan Takeover?
Side note I was pretty happy with the figures Mattel showed off, but as a collector of Ultimate Editions only my opinion is skewed. Still enjoyed seeing Dusty, Boss Man and Bam Bam for sure as well as MITB Punk. I was hoping for Demolition or LOD but you cant have it all I suppose. Also really shocked with the Papa Shango/Ultimate Warrior set wondering if the Greatest Grudges will be a continuing line moving forward 🤔

Sultan and ichiban were the pegwarmers. in my area only Muhammad sold out. The rest are all peg warmers. Odd and I never would've guessed it based on the Muhammad SDCC being available. But I guess being in retail and at a lower price point helped it.

Madcaps -
I only saw one pic of the Hogan figure from the Hulk Hogan & Mean Gene Okerlund Main Event 2-Pack.
Did anyone see any other pics from better angles? I can’t tell if it’s a new head or not.

So he technically has 4.

Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, but I am looking for a wee bit of advice. Basically, I want that Ultimate Warrior and Papa Shango set, I offered my first born as a trade to the voodoo gods, but they would not make the trade so it looks like I am going to have to import it from the USA to the UK. I did some quick math and it looks like I am looking at around £65 to £70 including shipping, but I know there could be a potential custom charge thanks to Mr Brexit once it arrives. When I pre-order stuff on Amazon here in the UK, I always buy a gift card and then use that to pre-order, that way it is all paid for and the money is gone if that makes sense. Do not ask me why, but I am never a fan of pre-ordering and not paying until shipping. Would I be able to do this with something from Amazon USA? Would a UK amazon gift card work or would I have to buy an American one? thanks for any help
