Can someone give me a history lesson on wcw title belts? I was a casual fan during the late 80s to mid 90s. The big gold belt vs the belt that Vader wore represented in this ultimate edition? Is is the same title lineage? Did it replace the big gold for a while? I felt like Rick Rude had a world title during his wcw initial run 92 or so. Was it the same as the big gold or did he hold that one? Did Ron Simmons hold the one Vader carried? Thanks for the background. -Flair gets the big gold belt in 1985 to replace the 10 pounds of gold as the NWA belt -WCW creates its own sanctioned titles using the current NWA title holders; NWA continues recognizing Flair as their champion too; there is a brief split of the lineages with Fujinami in Japan but Flair ends up having both again -Flair and WCW finally reach a breaking point and Flair leaves for the WWF, being stripped of recognition as NWA and WCW Champion but still in possession of the original big gold belt -the NWA required a $25,000 deposit to hold the title; they want Flair to give the belt back without giving Flair his money back -WCW make a new belt to represent the WCW world title, the one Luger, Simmons, Vader hold -Flair eventually comes back with the big gold belt -the big gold belt is now supposed to represent the NWA title, but WCW permanently leave the NWA -the big gold belt is now called the WCW International Championship but unlike AEW’s International title the WCW one was a world championship -Flair wins a unification match, and the regular WCW lineage is kept while the big gold belt is used as the physical WCW title again all the way through to the Invasion (When Rick Rude had the big gold it was the International Championship he never won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship) |

Flair didn't come back with the big gold belt. WCW paid off his deposit while he was still in the WWF, and New Japan held a tournement for the vacant title with Masa Chono winning in '92.

The paint apps on my chase are a lot better than the base version I received. The chase is near flawless, thank the Lord as that's the one I truly wanted. The chase is obviously casted in red color while the base is black. The cape will cover the bad shoulders on the base one. I'm one of the biggest HBK fans there is, but I will admit he was a big ahole towards Vader and I believe he should've been WWF champion. The chase is my top 5 favorite ultimate thus far.   |

If it was meant to the attire he wore with Vader time on the back, the front of his attire scuplt should look smaller. For whatever reason Vader wore that Vader time attire backwards during the end of his WCW run and beginning of WWF.

Just looking at the Target app and it shows that Vader is no longer available for pick up, delivery, or shipping. Hopefully there's more restocks, at some point, for anybody that wasn't able to get him. Well I was wrong. A local Target by me had three of them. 2 regular and 1 Chase. So I took a regular and a chase, so I'm okay now. |

I received him today, got the chase. I’ve been pretty lucky with chases lately, but I usually get the chase of the fig I want the standard version of. Gonna leave this one moc, so I’ll be on the lookout for a reg version soon.

People who held this particular belt are: Luger Sting Vader Simmons Flair And then Flair unified it with the International title and that version was retired in favor of the big gold belt. |

Can someone please post both versions of the wcw belt, the ron simmons elite and this new one with vader. I would like to know if there are any differences.

They both must've just referenced the studio shots of him wearing blue that was similar to the purple title win attire. |
