At one point Kerry/Kevin were listed for a HOF 2-pack, and then Kerry was moved to the HOC line. Production samples are out there in his SS91 attire. The figure was never released, and they haven't been under a deal in some time. Bill has strongly implied that wrestlers who died by suicide were unlikely due to Mattel's corporate values, so that could be an issue even if they were under a deal again. Are there photos of these? Assuming they can be shared There are photos; I saw them on here when it was first announced, but now I can't find them anywhere.

There's an IG account called "unreleasedwrestlingfigures" that has a lot of figures that never got released. I can't remember if Kerry was posted there, but it probably was. As for why the figure didn't get released, I just shared a remark Bill made when asked about a wrestler who died under similar circumstances. Things change - Bill told us Mattel would never make Lex or Hall because of their roles in deaths. But Kerry definitely had a figure planned that was scrapped for scrapped for some reason. Beyond that, it's a moot point without a current Legends deal.

Because people that suffered mental illnesses don’t deserve to be celebrated or shown empathy /sarcasm (from someone who has struggled)

I’d love for op to redo his list but only including the ones he thinks would be profitable.

Kerry's PowerTown figure is amazing. Highly recommended. I definitely wanted more Tornado figures from Mattel, but at least we got a couple of Kerry from them, and PowerTown making figures of him is a win.
I get that we want this stuff to be all in universe with Mattel, but speaking for myself, anyone making figures of guys like Raven, Franchise, and Jerry Lynn in 2024 is a massive win to me. Hopefully Jazwares can make a 90s Taz here soon too. Zombie is giving us our second Chris Candido figure in 25 years, let's just enjoy it. PowerTown has a great roster of throwback characters that Mattel likely isn't ever going to make. So take advantage of it if that's the era you enjoy. Boss Fight is putting out an awesome looking Vampiro. Mitch just made The Quebecers and they're incredible. It's really great out there imo, outside of absolute dog water clowns like Rush Collectibles.

For the one billionth time, Jakks could sign people directly. Mattel can't. Then explain the likes of Andy Kaufman who is under a legends contract and was inducted into the HOF? He has merch among countless others. Yet no figure, while Muhammad Ali did. You don't know all the specifics of when it comes to Jakks to Mattel KP boy.

Is his WWE legends/merchandise contract still active? I haven’t seen any new merchandise for him since his Jakks figure years ago. From what I read in the past on here is Legends contracts are typically 5 years. So if his contract expired with the WWE they may not have renegotiated for a new one. And Mattel used to sign wrestlers themselves. They signed Macho, Von Erich’s & Steamboat in the early years. But Mattel stopped doing it because why should they shell out money on contracts when the WWE can do it? Which if you are Mattel makes perfect sense. Because even if they wanted to sign talent on their own again as long as the WWE logo is on the package the WWE has to OK said talent being in the line.

Andy Kaufman was inducted into the 2023 WWE hall of fame and has since had shirts, posters and other merch etc... It's tricky to understand all the details because we don't work for either company. Therefore, we can't decipher. We can only speculate to make some sense of it. I'm not a "know it all like a Kyle Peterson" but I know enough to know more than above average for my years collecting. You are right Mattel is doing smart business by not using their own resources to go out of their way to contact talent themselves. Let that be on the WWE. Unfortunately, to me that doesn't mean a heck of alot of influx talent going forward though...

Obviously it doesn't clear things up much but as I understand it acquiring somebody's likeness could be for very specific things, somebody's contract could allow for them to be in the 2K games but not figures. Id imagine WWE generally tries to cover all their bases when they sign somebody but that's not a garauntee everybody will be represented in ever medium.

For the one billionth time, Jakks could sign people directly. Mattel can't. Incorrect. Mattel did this when they first got WWE figures. That's how we got the von Erick's and others in the early lines that we haven't seen since. So yeah they could, they chose not to. And it’s been confirmed that that is no longer an option under their current contract.

When they first got the line they had a lot of Jakks old figure contracts that's how we got Demo, Von Erichs, Akeem (almost OMG), Martel, Snuka, and a couple more

Gotta think Arn is back under a legends deal. Need a Dangerous Alliance Arn. That would be great. Hopefully he does resign, and that he can bring Tully with him. We need updated Brain Busters; they would be great in the RSC Exclusive UE line: Summer Slam 1989 attire, brain buster jackets, and WWF tag team titles.
