On a completely unrelated note, for some reason I had completely forgotten that Randy was riding on Batista's shoulders for this.
This makes the Golden Trio re-enacting this spot after the cameras turned off even funnier.

Another three pack that might shelf warm I'm afraid but no 3 pack is ever going gonna touch that Hogan 3 pack, it flew off the shelves even after restocks!! I literally only saw the Hogan set twice, and one of those times the Hollywood was switched out with the WM X-8 one from the BAF Okerlund set. The other time I bought the only one that was there. I wonder if they will show up at Ollies like that set with Hogan, Austin, Becky, and Rocky which are still warming. I’d love another shot at those loose. This one I expect to pop up at Ollies, especially since they didn’t slip us an extra Batista head and HHH is in pants. This one seems to be solely for recreating that moment. I’d buy it then.

This is a great set outside of HHH - but I still can't believe they let that fabric suit be released. It feels like a badd Jakks figure back from the day

It feels like a badd Jakks figure back from the day This set is an Epic Moments set intentionally mislabeled as an Elite 3-Pack. It's not even subtle. The entire point of this set, as stated above, is to recreate that ONE SPOT. it's not *supposed* to be a generalized Evolution set, nor is it meant to represent the group at all. It's a box set exclusively to reenact that one scene in figure form. Just like the Festival of Friendship and Milk-O-Mania sets were. And to reenact that scene, you need Hunter to be able to take his suit off progressively from the waist up. If this was about releasing an Evolution set for the sake of releasing Evolution, they'd all be in the same type of gear, be it wrestling gear or streat gear. It's an Epic Moments set. They just aren't selling it as that in hopes nobody will notice.

The issue is that cloth suit looks ATROCIOUS -- I can't believe they couldn't have done a molded suit, or something that just looked better. And surprised they didn't reverse after seeing how bad it looked.

And surprised they didn't reverse after seeing how bad it looked. Unfortunately, in this case, I think they did the best they could. That's what I was getting at, they couldn't have done a molded suit that you can't take the layers off of. You can't recreate the moment if you do that. And making *layers* of cloth goods that go over a plastic figure with limited articulation, frankly I'm shocked they got it as close fitting as they did. Remember the Alexa Bliss Ultimate Edition? That overalls-skirt thing you almost had to rip it apart to put it on/take it off because they made it very form fitting cloth goods that you couldn't make work with the articulation of the figure. They molded the pants on, like they should have. But as I said, this set is specifically designed to REENACT that moment, not to look like a snapshot of the moment. Much like the Epic Moments packs were. They're designed that if you want you can pic-fed your way through the entire scene. And the cloth goods suit top was the only way they could make that happen. The final product looks trashy as a simple display piece, sure. But that was clearly never the point of this set. If they wanted to make a set of figures that looked nice as an Evolution set, it wouldn't have been done like this.

I love the idea and agree - to recreate THAT moment I think they've done the best they could with the suit. it just fails in execution and not only in the suit. I don't like there being an Evolution box set without Flair (and by no means am I a 'super'fan of his) but it was a 4 man group who they've (up until recently) had the rights to produce...a little too late for me. I don't really buy the box sets anyway (I only have the horsemen set)...so my opinion on this is not really important to Mattel. I just think it was bad timing...if they had Flair rights...I'd be on board to buy it.

Very fair -- it's just hard to believe this is really the best they could do and they're not embarrassed by it. But I guess it is the best.

I’d prefer either Triple H in a plastic suit or in an entirely fabric suit with his black trunks underneath so I can have the biker shorts Triple H without the biker shorts.

But an even better Defining Moment that would please more people would be when they were standing on the ramp at the end of Raw in their wrestling gear holding up all of the championships. Not only would you get wrestling gear figures, but you’d get a tag team, intercontinental, and world heavyweight championship. You wouldn’t get Ric Flair, but you’re not getting Flair in this set either and he was there.

Anyone have the link to this set? Doesn't seem to pop up on the target app It seems to have been taken down for some reason. When you put the DPCI in on the Target app it says it can’t be found. Can anyone who preordered it still see it?
