So there’s been a lot of talk about the potential of Tatanka getting an ultimate edition over the last year. I hear that most people actually are fed up with all the hulk hogan figures and are requesting they cancel his upcoming figures to make room in the line for more Tatanka’s. Which era of Tatanka would be the best bet for his first Ultimate? I’d personally choose a 1993/1994 attire. The complete head dress, some alternate heads with different face paint designs. It’d honestly be a good candidate for a chase version given how many loin clothe designs they could choose.  |

I was thinking about this earlier today as I was eating dinner and in my opinion a buffalo Tatanka with red hair, face paint, native head dress and winged eagle around the waist MOC could be one of the top sellers ever for Mattel. Think about it, red hair with the face paint with the native head dress on his head and a loincloth at the bottom. Accessories could include the eagle WWE title which belongs to Tatanka and the tomahawk that could fit in Tatanka's hand. In my opinion that is the definite version of Tatanka we need considering we already got blue Tatanka with the Elite. Of course I would not be against another mid 80's Tatanka but I think we would all prefer the buffalo version but would understand the desire for another blue Tatanka considering many people don't want to pay over 100 dollars for Elite Tatanka. I am pinning all my hopes on more Tatanka figures at Ringside fest. |

I think this is the way to go. We need his head dress. He could get some cool new heads. An open mouthed yelling one maybe. Yeah this would be dope
Also before it happens, Can we all just stop the bitching about what someone has or hasnt done to deserve a figure already? Its 2024, everyone has a damn figure by now, it seems like everyone will eventually get a U.E too. George steele and the Gobleddy Gooker have u.es, the bar isnt set very high now. We dont need to armchair q.b for mattel anymore.
Btw i really want to see USA Lex get a u.e for the new gen displays as well.
Unlikely but a Grudge match 2 pack of Tatanka vs Lex would be an instant buy for me, although i dont think the small storyline they did together would be very high on anyones list

I put this in another thread. I gotta say, I would buy an Ultimate Edition Tatanka. Throw in a very detailed headdress, multiple heads with different expressions, a tomahawk, the necklace, and maybe an extra sash-thing he wore over his trunks with a different design.    Maybe have one look (head sculpt and sash-thing) for baby face Tatanka (above) and another for heel Tatanka (below):  |

Tatanka isn't someone I would personally buy as I'm more a WCW/NWO guy, but I have no issue with him being made, other people will want him, and I really take issue with people who try to dictate who is and isn't deserving of a figure, it's all opinion, there is no black and white definitive answer. While obviously some names will sell more than others, everyone who is part of wrestling history is fair game IMO, and the more unique characters the better, variety is important, we need the A-listers, the Z-listers, everyone in between, and different looks of each too.

I don’t think it’s a stretch given they did Diesel from his RR 11 appearance. Tatanka 2006 would be an amazing figure, his attires were great in that run |
