For those of you that have arena set ups, what do you use for the mats outside of the ring?
I’m looking to jazz up my New Gen ring with some blue mats, but I wanted to know what you all use.
I know about the ones from Eff Tee See, but I don’t like that there’s black velcro on all sides.

Honestly a light blue table cloth worked wonders for me.

As someone else said a tablecloth works nearly perfectly, I used foam sheets at one point and they were okay

I used one of my wife's old yoga mats (perfect shade of blue, too) pretty cheap and easy enough for me to do

I’m planning on using foam black board with the smooth service. It’s not quite as shiny as actual mats but it should work. I actually have a cool little plan. Once the ringside ultimate Punk comes out, I’m going to buy a set of the black barricades, a small piece of the black board, and set Punk up over the railing when he was blowing the kiss goodbye. It should look like a cool little diorama piece.

Go to craft store Michael’s and near the poster boards, construction paper, and felt sheets, you will find thin foam sheets by Creatology. They are a few millimeters thick and about the size of a sheet of paper (8”x11”) or a longer size (8”x18” maybe?) in a variety of colors. The foam sheets are sold individually for like $1 or $2. I use these and they are perfect for ringside floor mats. I even put them underneath the “canvas” of my scale rings to add padding and a few mm’s of height for the figures to stand on in the ring. Found them on the Michaels website, but the colors look a little different in person, but still pretty close to the website. www.michaels.com/product/12-x-18-foam-sheet-by-creatology-10597609
