See here's the thing, you never said about about Kingston, B-Boy or Tornado being bad choices before but now because Gabe didn't book them they don't fit? You will like anything Gabe throws at you. Also everyone mentioned how horrible of a choice Jigsaw was, why do you happen to pick me to start a war with? Is your life really that sad that you don't have time for anything else? I've actually said that a lot, maybe not on every message board, but it's something I've said at a lot of shows. Again if Gabe booked it there's no doubt you would be completely fine with it but now because he didn't it's a "bad idea". Not really, there's plenty of ROH related things I don't like, Ruckus, being one, same with the usage of M-Dogg20, the notion of guys like Chris Hero being featured while Erick Stevens is stuck with M-Dogg20. Why stick one of the most over faces like Davey Richards to play second to Roderick Strong when he was completely over on his own and was going somewhere? Now Richards is like a low mid carder when a year ago he was wrestling guys like KENTA, Aries, Joe & Cide. Plus when Roderick wasn't tagging with Aries, Davey Richards was always much higher up on the card than Strong. If you thought Davey was an over babyface, you're just not paying attention. Whether you like Reefer's work or not I can't see how you could say that he wouldn't be a better fit. A. He's got no charisma, he's not a good worker, he doesn't connect with a crowd outside of Jersey, and he's been booked lik a jobber when he's been used. As far as blowing spots being accepted I love how you watch one show with like one match that had botches(Lethal/Az vs OCK) and can judge the whole promotion on that. If it's so bad why do you continue to get the Dvds? You don't see me buying NWS or PWU dvds because they completely suck ass. I haven't paid for a JAPW DVD in quite a while, luckily I know people who send them to me for free in exchange for stuff I send them. Maybe that's because I'm not a little mark who has to run on the message board and let people know the back stage scoop so that I can feel better about myself. No sites ever reported the fight so why would I know about it? Actually, the Insider had a little tidbit about it after it happened. Plus there was a lot of talk about it on the ROH board. Just because it isn't the obvious doesn't mean it's good. I don't see anyone saying that here? |

Chris Hero is being jobbed out. The guy is one of the best in the world. Erick Stevens should NEVER be compared to Chris Hero. Stevens on his own is trash. Why because a bunch of people on the ROH board mentioned how they didn't like him? He always got a pop at shows and every sung the lyrics to his song. Not only was it bad to stick one of the most over guys with Roderick Strong but it was also a horrible idea to turn him heel. Davey Richards who was one of my favorite guys to watch last year has been awful since turning heel. No charisma? Yeah I don't know what you're watching. Not a good worker? That's certainly your opinion. Isn't over outside of Jersey? Maybe that's because he's only really worked Jersey shows. He's been booked as a jobber? Well so has Pelle Primue but I guess that's just "paying his dues" isn't it?  So then it's ridiculous to judge them on one show where one match had botches in it. I was there live I don't remember any other botches other than the OCK match and those two was just a styles clash. I check out the ROH board daily but don't really read many posts on there other than newswires. I don't remember hearing anything about it. Damn near every one's post here disagrees with Gabe's choice. Same with the ROH board. |

JSWO.....I'm with ya on Reefer just  ing up way too much. The guy could be a decent worker.....but he just always seems to make mistakes here and there. But as far as Richards not being over as a babyface.....thats insane. That guy was getting a huge main event push, that many believed he was gonna be the one to upset Dragon for the ROH Title before Cide. He was facing top level talent and was being heavily featured. Then he just started to job. He got injured around the time Mori took the title from Cide and then when he returned he was being jobbed left and right. To say he wasnt over as a babyface is a pretty ignorant statement. |

Re; Richards, I don't think anyone thought he'd get the ROH Title other then a select few people. The KENTA protege gimmick was designed to get him over big but failed, Gabe saw how some fans kept yelling he sucked at shows and that got louder for a while. Then Richards started the losing streak, and now he's actually grown on me as a heel. As a face I was bored to death. A guy that kicks hard doesn't make you great. Chris Hero is being jobbed out. Pelle got over being booked as a jobber. Reefer very easily could have gotten himself over in the role, but he couldn't even with Smokes help. Chris Hero can work any style, has the charisma to play a great heel or face and can have good matches with just about anyone. Throwing around guys half your size isn't being a good worker. Isn't that what everyone bashes the WWE for? Plus Stevens has the charisma of a rock. Richards was over huge as a face, just because there were a few haters out there doesn't mean that he wasn't a good face. Richards makes an awful heel and the whole Benoit thing sucks. Richards should be Richards, he was great that way. How do you expect that to happen when Reefer always played the heel role? The only time he was ever face was when he worked the pre shows. You mean the same excuse you have used for matches like Teddy/Lethal/Rhino & Homicide/Haas when they turned out to be really good? Whether he can put on good matches with the group or not doesn't mean he's a good fit. ROH should of kept the Quack/Jigsaw team because they put on really good matches with Generico/Steen & Stevens/Cross. |

Chris Hero is by far one of the best workers in the world today. Like Undisputed said.....great charisma and can work both heel and face. His in ring technical and submission ability is tops and provides the biggest name on the ROH roster. The fact that he isnt ruling ROH is more political than it is anything else.
JSWO.....I still disagree with you on Richards. While his heel turn has blown new life into his character.......I still think he makes a better clean cut babyface. No he isnt a babyface like Joe or Punk. He was more clean cut. The do what is right babyface. Major misjudgment by Gabe on this one.
