With what looks and sounds like the offical signing of Jesse The Body Ventura what figures would you like making?
I’d personally like 1981/82 WWF with his beard.
1984 with his side burns and then a 85/86 look with a mustache in the red tights.
In terms of out of ring of course the iconic 1990 pink announcer in suit and probably the 1999 summerslam special referee attire.
The big question is about the iconic LJN look in the CC line. Is this attire actually accurate or would you prefer it with the actual floral pattern similar to his Jakks Classic superstars attire.

Coliseum Collection ultimate Announcer Elite Predator Jesse, if possible. Also, Governor Jesse figure And SummerSlam 88 referee. |

I’d get one or two Jesse’s in announcer attire but I think I’ll skip all ring attire figures for him.

#1: Floral ring gear in Colosseum seems like a given. Definitely some cool things you can do with his entrance getup. I feel like you only need one of him as a wrestler, and it should be in this line. #2/3: The cover of The Wrestling Album of him in the pink white tye dye suit w/ boas, glasses, bandana, etc. would make for a great commentator/presenter look. He also wore it with different headgear in an HD photoshoot, so that certainly increases the odds of this version being picked. The look is very toyetic and VERY Jesse, and on top of that he wore a similar purple version of it on SNME that would make for an easy variant ( #3 - here) if they went that route. #4: An old man 'modern' depiction from the 2010 Raw Guest Host episode. He wore a shiny maroon snake skin jacket, and I think this would be a cool Main Event style figure due to the rare simplicity of it for Ventura standards. Fun note I just realized: he wore the same thing during his untelevised manager role with Brock Lesnar! ( here) #5: Attitude era guest referee (long-sleeved) from the 1999 SummerSlam main event. This was my first exposure to him as a kid, and it would be a cool edition to an Attitude display. I could see this being a great choice for a future Summerslam BAF. After that, I'm sure they could do another different suit version of him as an Elite, perhaps with the gold wig thing like in Classic Superstars. |
