At the scrum Tony was asked about the probability of a media rights deal getting announced in the next month or so- what would be the percentage?
Tony said 90%
With that said, what are you guys hoping for? Do you think streaming PPV’s on Max will be a thing, or will we be expected to continue shelling out $50 a month?

I'm thinking the streaming option will happen for the PPVs. They'll probably end up doing 10-12 PPVs every year now.
The new TV deal is apparently getting a big increase as well, good news.

Personally I'm just hoping it doesn't mess things up for me watching from Canada. Max is through crave here so if it's on there maybe it makes things easier, but right now I do everything through aew plus on triller with a VPN. (PPVs are like half price that way too). TSN is who carries it in Canada for cable and it's a giant mess. We might actually be one of the worst country's to try and watch from if you do it the way we're supposed to.

Here's the latest rumor via Brandon Thurston - "John Ourand at Puck reports AEW's new media deal with WBD "looks like" it will be a 4-year deal: 3 years guaranteed with a 1-year option. Ourand says $170M per year "is apparently in the ballpark." puck.news/newsletter_content/zaz-on-the-ropes-pac-12-action-charter-dealology/He says AEW will air on TNT, TBS, and TruTV twice per week, as part of a strategy to make TruTV more sports-oriented. The announcement of the deal "could come as soon as next week, barring any last-minute changes." He says AEW is pitching an additional package to broadcast networks. The report at one point refers to AEW as "second-tier wrestling", though, Ourand writes that the deal "marks a clear success for AEW". Notably, no mention of content for the Max streaming service, for whatever it's worth. I've estimated AEW's current deal with WBD is somewhere around $70M annually. This certainly sounds like more content, which would complicate a straightforward % increase comparison."

If there’s no PPV deal included I’m gonna be disappointed.

If there’s no PPV deal included I’m gonna be disappointed. Use a VPN. It's still not a great deal consisting they run more than 4 now, but they're all at least 50% off USA/Canada price if you use an overseas IP address.
