Others I'd like to see: Roddy Piper vs. Rick Rude - late 1989 MSG cage match from Supertape and Heroes of Wrestling Coliseum Video. Rude in the grim reaper tights and Piper in his iconic/classic attire: Hot Rod Shirt with collar, dark blue trunks, knee pads, and brown boots. Both need to come with multiple heads and hands. Rude can also come with a robe. It would be great if Rude could have a bloodied head since he was bleeding in the cage match. Chico Santana vs. Rick Martel - late 1989/early 1990 feud. Tito in the same attire from his previous release, include updated head sculpts, the red shirt, and an extra purple Ariba Santana shirt . Model in his pale blue gear: puffy hair, glasses, plastic sweater to pose around his neck, his atomizer, and updated head sculpts. And, if they can, include the hookah looking thing for his perfume. Texas Tornado vs. Mr. Perfect - late 1990 feud. Preferably, their Summer Slam 1990 attires. Perfect in his yellow singlet with blue on the back, IC title, and an extra hand that's swatting away his gum. Tornado in the white tights and yellow knee pads, and his long green robe. If they don't do that one for Kerry, maybe his red attire and the short entrance jacket. Ronnie Garvin vs. Greg Valentine - late 89/early 1990 feud, their Survivor Series 1989 attires. Ronnie Garvin in his red and yellow attire with his hammer jammer. Greg Valentine in his traditional black trunks and yellow boots attire with the shin guard. endless possibilities, I'd like to use this line to get guys who maybe wouldn't get the ultimate treatment (Papa Shango is awesome...but a single release?)

savage in pink and yellow with a green shirt. pained expression and attachable arm with the cobra biting it.
it makes me feel special just thinking about this 😜.

This is hard for me. While I love the idea of this subline, as an 80’s only collector at this point, only getting generally one of each character, it’s hard to imagine who would be a better fit for this than the Coliseum Collection- based on who is available. Mr. Perfect comes to mind as someone from the 80’s who is very deserving of an Ultimate who wouldn’t be in the CC. Not sure who I’d pair him with though, based on who we believe to be available.

Agreed. Textbook execution on a mid-card feud or a feud that doesn't need a title belt as a tool to sell the feud. I went with Greg's classic black trunks and yellow boots attire because that, to me, is his most iconic attire, so it probably should be the one to be represented as an Ultimate Edition figure. But they could do his Royal Rumble 1990 attire, yellow trunks and boots with the gold robe. |
