Benoit came close all in the same year. One WCW title win & two visual WWF Title wins Benoit winning it twice in 2000 will always be comedy. Foley reversing it was classic. Interesting how he & Jericho both got visual title wins that year. It showed fans the Federation were willing to push them. Them two, Angle & Rikishi were the years breakout singles stars.

Sid as a a WCW champ certainly gets forgotten since WCW was so down at that time

If I were to rank them it would be in this order… 1. Bret Hart 2. Ric Flair 3. Hulk Hogan 4. Macho Man Randy Savage 5. Sid 6. Diesel/Kevin Nash 7. Giant/Big Show Sorry MKSavage I had to put Hogan over Savage. Because Hollywood was better than clown-wear. But Sting & Piper don’t even make the list. Too bad none of these guys were ECW champion while all three companies existed. (Big Show did it but it was the WWE version of ECW.)

He was apparently meant to be in the main event of WM16 as well. 2000 was great years for him, Jericho, Angle, Rikishi.

An interesting factoid about Macho's championship reigns that I may have mentioned in here before (I'm old, and I honestly can't remember), and that I'd realized a year or so ago is: Of Macho's six world championship reigns (2 WWF/4 WCW), 3 were ended by Hogan (1 WWF, 2 WCW), and 3 were ended by Flair (1 WWF, 2 WCW).

Personal opinion here but the two standouts from that list are Ric Flair and Kevin Nash. Flair because he won the WWF championship after he was WCW champ. The fact that WCW was perceived as a distant second at the time makes it a great accomplishment in my book. When you consider the likes of Harley Race and Terry Funk (albeit both were NWA rather than WCW champ) we’re nowhere near the main event in WWF let alone champion speaks volumes regarding the esteem Flair was held in. Tested as an equal from the very start. Nash was one of the people to take WCW to the great heights they achieved. Even Hogan coming in to WCW didn’t have the level of impact Nash (and Hall) had on entry. To achieve the big one in both promotions for TAFKA Vinnie Vegas is incredible for me. Admittedly, I’m overlooking a lot concerning Nash but still an incredible achievement. No disrespect to the others on the list but I fully expected that Hogan and Savage would capture the WCW title. In the pre NWO days, both were massive names in a relatively small promotion. No one at the time was even close to being their equal. Both won the belt later on in their WCW tenure but by then both were already a double champ. By the time Bret and Sid won the WCW title, the belt was virtually meaningless (David Arquette was champion 4 months after Bret’s second title run was vacated). That being said, all seven accomplished what 1000’s of wrestlers didn’t. Shout out to Lex Luger who probably should have made the list, if it wasn’t for the peculiar booking in 93. But guess that’s a discussion for another thread. Luger should be on there ffs

Does Nature Boy Buddy Rogers count? Certainly if you go further back and include the NWA Title however to me the NWA lineage compared to the WCW lineage is much like the WWF Title lineage and the World HW, Universal, Insert whatever belt here, lineage....They might fall under the same umbrella of sorts, they just dont belong together IMO.

I think Savages reign in 1998 was supposed to be longer but he really wrecked his knee at Spring Stampede beating Sting. He was essentially f*cked afterwards...it was more or less a career ender when you look at it.
