Anyone else surprised we haven’t gotten a figure yet ? He went in the HOF last year. I would suspect anyone going into the HOF would have merchandising deals. Maybe Mattel doesn’t think Andy will sell well? Seems like a no brainer to do a 2 pack with Lawler. I loved the Jakks 2 pack. Would love to see Mattel make it as well.

Going into the HOF does not necessarily mean they are signed to a merch deal.
But yes, I would buy any that they made. Wrestling attire with robe and Letterman appearance with neck brace would be musts.

Imagine the headaches working that out lol.

Put it into the regular elite line so it doesn't take up a quality legends slot.

I have a handful of Jakks CS and the solo Kaufman is one of them. It was before my time, but damn was it good watching it all back.

Probably my most wanted celebrity figure but I will admit that it is kinda niche. Very few collectors I say remember his run first hand. It was a territorial feud pre-Golden Age boom. And a lot of us are in our 40s and 50s but still not old enough to really be watching Letterman, SNL,Taxi, etc at the time to be really familiar with his comedy. Most of our experience with Andy are from clips, docs, or the Jim Carey movie.

No. I’d rather buy a Tony Danza, Danny Devito or Christopher Lloyd figure

I think a Lawler/Kaufman UE two pack as a Mattel/RS exclusive would be cool.
Andy could have a normal smiling face, and angry face, and one in pain if you want to display him with a neck-brace.

check out the lawler/kaufman wwe rivals episode, i think no one can argue after that he doesn't deserve a figure

He's not in the WWE Hall of Fame but he is very few celebrities would deserve a spot in there. He would have to be packaged with a Jerry the King figure though and they can reuse Johnny Knoxville's entire buck with a new headsculpt.

Absolutely. Kaufman and Lawler as a two pack has been on my shortlist for SDCC exclusives or some kind of online exclusive since I started collecting

This would work nice in the territories set. This would totally rock if Mattel did another legends of the territories set.

This would work nice in the territories set. This would totally rock if Mattel did another legends of the territories set. Steve said that the only reason that set got made was because of Muhammad Ali's inclusion. I wonder if Kaufman would be enough to get another one made. If they did go this route, I wonder who else they could include. Would they use someone they already did: Harley Race (w/ Ric Flair), Billy Graham (w/ Bruno Sammartino or Dusty Rhodes)? Or would they try to do two other guys. Flair and Kerry Von Erich would be great; especially their attires from the David Von Erich Memorial show match they had. If they wanted to keep a Memphis connection to go with the Lawler/Kaufman set, maybe bring in the Memphis era Macho Man Randy Savage and Lanny Poffo with the ICW world title belt. If Lanny isn't possible, maybe Austin Idol or Rick Rude, both of whom Savage feuded with in Memphis. I wouldn't mind a Buddy Rogers/Lou Thesz set. Or Buddy Rogers with Haystacks Calhoun or even a young Bruno Sammartino. But, that might be too niche. Fun to think about, though.

I don’t think Mattel would reuse Harley or Billy Graham if they did do another set. So many great feuds from the territory days, but many of them are probably not under a deal with Mattel. Some I’d love to see are Sammartino/Zybysko, Bruiser Brody/ Abdullah, Bobo Brazil/Sheik, Flair/Dusty, Piper/Valentine, Verne Gagne/Bockwinkel.
