Why do so many people fret about Ringside’s preorders selling so fast when there’s numerous recent examples of them not even being the first to have some waves in stock?

not sure if this is true, was talking to someone at SDCC who has ordered off of RSC for years, and they told me, that it was confirmed by a scalper that Ringside emails scalpers who give them a little extra, to let them know when pre orders go up, so they know when to start buying, and also do not put an limitations on how many they can order, which is why certain figures are gone within seconds.

I don't buy this. Who are the scalpers and where are they selling? Maybe to the crazies who will pay insane money to have the figure first. But over time, if you're paying inflated RSC profits - and then deal with eBay fees, etc., how much money are you making -- even if you buy early? |
