I really really wanted to like/LOVE this figure, as it depicts my favorite era of the Hulkster (1990-1992-ish). But damn the face they is used is from a decade later. You can tell particularly by the sleepy eyes and large vertical creases in Hogan's cheeks that developed over time in the late 90s / early 00s:  The sculpt very much reminds me of the one that Jakks used for 2002-ish Hogan:  As far as alternatives, I think the Elite RR scan (which debuted in E96, later reissued in ME148) better captures the WM7/WM8 Hulkster:  |

I think they wanted to give him a grinning sculpt to recreate the shot of the camera zooming in on him in front of the neon entrance at WM8. They already had that sculpt and wasn’t really a major need to create a new one just for some small differences. My biggest gripe is the velcro down the front of his shirt.

I also thought it looked like an older Hogan. Honestly, just give me THIS exact Hogan face sculpt, a "hulking up" head with the bulging eyes and mouth saying "YOU!" and I'll never need another Hogan scan as long as I live.  |

I got my replacement today and this one’s hips are even stiffer than the first one. WTF. These weird new ratchet hips are terrible. What was wrong with the ball-and-joint hips that the 90s era HBKs and Biker Pants Undertakers had? Use that for the other figures. I hate complaining all the time about these things, but I have no choice. I just want to pose my figures cleanly without being limited to 2 or 3 spots where the hips lock in place.

I think the figure is AWESOME!! and as many of you know it's one of the ones I've been waiting for for a long time. Maybe that's how we get Python Power Hogan, with the American Flag!!

The split shirt sucks. It's a cool figure other than that. Why do they think we need to have that "play feature?" it's not necessary at all and kills the aesthetic of the graphic.

Pretty sure Steve has been advocating for the velcro in the back or sides or velcroless shirts for hogan but Bill seems to be a fan of rip away feature. I don’t get it. It’s a majority of adults that are buying Hogan figs and a great majority of us have been vocal about how we hate the design of these shirts. |

Considering how many Hogan figures they pump out, there's really a lack of heads once you get past his early-mid 80s looks. Everything from the late 80s through mid 00s uses the same 4 or so heads.
