I just hope the legs aren’t super stiff. Every Elite Kane/Undertaker with those legs has always been really stiff for me.

The head looks almost the same as the ultimate, except you can see some of his forehead. Also don't remember if/when he stopped having black around his eyes

Other than articulation, the Jakks R3 Kane is still the best Hardcore era Kane ever made IMO. And one of the best wrestling figures ever made period for that matter. Especially the head, it just looks exactly like Glenn Jacobs wearing the real Kane mask, which is because it was produced from an actual 3D scan, instead of just sculpted from pictures (which just never looks as good!).
If Mattel wants to better it, they need a new 100% ACCURATE SHAPE mask headscan with plenty of fine detailing, multiple hair pieces would make sense, and new LARGE body sculpt with SCULPTED attire details. And personally I'd also throw in a separate mask accessory for him to hold, and an alternate unmasked head FROM THAT ERA i.e. with full hair, goatee and eye makeup, so you can recreate the few occassions when his mask was removed. But those 2 accessories would just be the icing on the cake.
I'll give Mattel their credit, their recent masked Kanes have definitely shown improvement, and I know Steve, Bill and the rest work hard... but honestly, other than articulation, I still think the Jakks R3 Kane is better. So I'd love to see Mattel take another crack at Hardcore Era Kane, probably as an ultimate would make the most sense.

I just realized they didn't use the sculpted flame torso that they made for the ultimate. Makes me think we'll see this figure again as an Ultimate.
