Yeag that looks way better now. This is one of the reasons that I’m still hesitant about pinless joints even though they look better, cuz if Mattel mess something up now you have to really work to fix it

the parts have the "R" and "L" printed on them, did you check if it was indeed the other way around?

the parts have the "R" and "L" printed on them, did you check if it was indeed the other way around? I did not - they're not as easy to see on the pinless joints and I have since glued them back in place. Through all the customs I've made with mattel the thinner side always goes on the inside of the knee joint, on this figure it was the other way around which would be incredibly strange to randomly do. Based on my educated guess and the way it looks when the legs are swapped id be extremely confident in saying the factory got them the wrong way.

Thanks CMW, a big part of me after customising these since day 1, just cannot believe they would be making such mistakes!

Man... just got MNW Bam Bam Bigelow... if posting pics wasn't such a hassle I'd show y'all, but the feet are on backwards. I can't even...

Going back to drop down hips is there any way to fix them? I've asked before in the fix up thread but maybe no one had a solution

Ive recieved my Outsiders today and the quality on them is shocking. Kevin Nash has a ridiculous loose neck, may as well be an Ultimate Bobble head, but the main concern is the Legs on Scott Hall, his left leg would not stay in position and kept springing back, cause by the peg not moving correctly or being too stiff, which has cause the peg to actually snap clean off. A complete waste of money on an item that breaks doing something it is supposed to be doing straight out of the box . I have had this in numerous others in the line, most recent with Gunther and John Cena Ultimate Editions. I have had two Nash from the Outsiders, both with necks that can't hold the head in place. MNW Triple H Ultimate edition his left leg won't go into place causing him to be able to stand unless you really bend it at the knee but still have the horrible gap at the top. This has disaster written all over it if this isn't corrected soon after switching assemble location.

Right off the bat, the peg stem seems weak. The TMNT figures I just bought, the legs can go up but putting them back into position, the peg bends with it as if it were drop down hips. You really have to push in whilst bending them down so it doesn't snap. You have to soak them in the hottest water your sink will put out for five minutes and then gently work the hips like a physical therapist. Slowly and with your fingers deep in the hip. Like, where it would be awkward af on a real dude. That’s how you fix most hips. If the hips are still stiff, you have to soak and repeat. Take all the time and you can fix almost any hips. I’ve done to half of the figures I’ve gotten this year .

And I left in for 20 seconds which is probably a lil too much with that high heat, they were nice and sorta gummy and it was nice and mobile. Until it dried and cooled, I did a second attempt and it's ok I guess. Still not where it needs to be. But the problem is, these are for kids and most kids will not be aware of using heat to fix it. They'll most likely break which is the real problem.

I’m going to have to do the hot water treatment to my Coliseum collection Ricky Steamboat. Again the left leg is completely frozen at the hip and the leg won’t go up at all.

Finally found the MNW DDP. Bought an extra for a custom and both have the stiffest legs I’ve ever seen on an action figure. Plus it looks like the calves are on the wrong legs, but I can’t fix it as they’re pinless joints. Absolutely awful, this needs sorted ASAP.

Basic 150 CM Punk's legs don't stand straight. They're completely bow legged. Elite Top Pick Reigns - legs /knees completely warped and bow legged.

Don’t boil the water!! That’s too much heat at once. It’s better to work through the process a few times and get it right eventually. I learned that the hard way from three different elites

It really varies with each appliance, I did make that mistake before trying to crack a torso, so I know the limit on mine 😂

Newest issues I've had: 1. Elite 114 Jey Uso right foot was stuck in a toes down position. Think like a ballerina and if you tried to push the foot up to straighten it out, it felt like the peg was gonna snap in the foot.
2. Elite 113 Carlito had the same left leg issue others have had. Leg can only move up very little and once you let go, it snaps right back. If you try to move it foward it feels like the leg will break right off

Left leg barely moved and the little bit it did it got stuck in that position and when I tried to put it down it felt like the peg was gonna snap with any little bit of pressure. Had to boil water to loosen it up enough to get the leg back down to a normal position. Very disappointed with all these issues
