I’m talking about the figures like Edge “Earn Your Scars”, man bun Roman Reigns, the Rhea & Dom 2-pack, etc. that are fully in street clothes. I was thinking those would be the perfect figures to fill out an arena crowd section with because they’re not in wrestling gear and they’re half the price of Elites. But Mattel doesn’t make enough of them.

In theory, yes. Basic style is perfect for managers and for the backstage/promo looks. If I was doing a figure Fed, I’d absolutely want a basic Cody in suit, basic Roman with manbun in t-shirt and sweatpants, basic Miz in suit for Miz TV, basic Rhea Ripley in t-shirt etc.
In execution, those figures are sometimes garbage though. That Edge one, the lower half just looked weird and unfinished. And Ripley they’ve just done a terrible job on most of her figures.

The only "basics" I tend to even buy are announcers/managers...Women I know we'll never get in the elite line and top name legends like Hogan, Piper, Sting, Macho etc

I want more street clothed elites. The fact we haven’t had a jogging pants Reigns with Jordans and track suit is beyond me. He wears that 99% of the time on tv. Also suited Cody they haven’t executed well.
