Eh, The heavyweight division was poor. A few months ago you had Randy as the only big name. Silvia, Vera, Arlovski are all okay, Silvia looked dominating last night over Vera, but that dosnt say much. UFC could and SHOULD have gotten all 3 big free agents...... They bad mouthed Josh Barnett, failed to sign Fedor. All they did was get Brock. Fedor signed with M-1 and thats why Randy Couture left. He wanted out. Randy basically felt the only think left for him to prove was to fight against Fedor. Randy wanted that fight bad and Dana missed out on signing Fedor. So Randy felt disrespected. He wasn't happy with the money he was making compared to other fighters.
Some think Randy vs Fedor could end up happening in M-1. That could be a long time from now. UFC could take Randy to court because he's still under contract and they COULD force him to fullfill his contract before he leaves.

I didn't catch how they bad mouthed Barnett. I'm not saying they didn't, rather I didn't know that.
Dana White is a douche bag to me, his comments are only gonna come back to hurt him. But I'm not breaking news..
How much worse though, were his comments compared to basically saying Brock is the only fake who can do MMA? I got that as his point of view, he clearly holds some thing against Kurt or just I dunno, it's a strange case.
And I may not be pointing out the obvious, but Dana marks for big guys. I swear, an MMA-Boxing promoter should know, size isn't important in MMA. I just wanna see Brock get pummeled while on his belly, back exposed, oh we'll see what happens.

Im Neutral here. Dana White can be a douche, but Josh has been known to put himself on a pedistool more than once as an "amazing fighter". He's good, but he probably wont be one of those fighters you will remember years from now with fighters like Dan Severn is today or Rich Franklin will be one day.

He's good, but he probably wont be one of those fighters you will remember years from now with fighters like Dan Severn is today or Rich Franklin will be one day. Im a Barnett fan, but like most any other fighter, he talks a lot. Dana makes a good point that if he's such a great fighter, why hasnt he fought for Bodog or Elite XC or anyone else. Josh is still fairly young, he could wind up in UFC in the end. Will he have a Severn/Couture type of career? Probably not. |

But Josh Barnett was stripped of the Heavyweight title, he was found to be using steriods so his claim to still be champ for me ends there.
He's a great talent, however I don't think he's half as good as he claims he is.
I think Lesnar will do well in the UFC, has been training hard in MMA with Royce Gracie and down at MFS, Pat Miletich's camp. He's got great wrestling ability which in the Octagon and with UFC's rules is a great strength to have.
Apparently Randy hasn't left yet and some feel this was a ploy to get more money, he could still draw big $$$'s vs. Nogueira and then asgainst Lesnar if he gets a couple of wins before retiring as UFC's greatest fighter ever.
Fedor may be in M1 but we'll have to see what they produce, that could easilly fall apart especially with the big money they've had to offer to get Fedor. In a years time Fedor might be left with no option but the uFC
