The guy is a drug addict and needs to stay in jail until he can get straight.

So shut up. Use terms you know, and I'm not even gonna give you the benefit of knowing the proper term.

Yes and no, has he admitted to drug use or is it proven fact. Simple as public record? I was more going along the lines of libel. I got in a dispute recently with someone about slander, and I know now for a fact that unless it's voiced. You can't "slander" someone on the internet. You can however, defame them, committing libel. Ugh. If those words come back to bite me in the ass...

I'm pretty sure random talk on a message board wouldn't hold up in court as libel.

Well I just hope he comes back soon. I mean he just got out of jail 2 months ago and now he's back in, it must be really hard on him.

IM not saying he didnt make mistakes but it IS hard on him, being put back in jail only 2 months after leaving.

And again, it wouldn't be hard, if he didn't do this to himself.

So your saying it would be an easy time for him because he did it to him self? All I'm saying is that it is hard for him, and I cant wait to see him back.
EDIT- Oh I see, I think we are talking about 2 different things. Im saying the jail time would be a bad time, and I think you are saying that Im saying the fans are being hard on him, which I'm not.

I'm pretty sure random talk on a message board wouldn't hold up in court as libel. Believe it or not, you may or may not have helped me out on something unrelated to this. And really my only point was, slander seems like a nice word. But in truth, he would be laughed at for using this as an example of that, since it wasn't said in words but rather internet text. Almost anyone can get away with something on the internet.
