1. Having only recently 'discovered' the now defunct promotion, WWA, I'm keen to get hold of all sorts of WWA goodies (images and the like) so please post watcha' got or can find, cheers. It appears media regarding said promotion is scarce (or so I've found). 2. I'm anxious to find out which other promotions (other than TNA/WWA) emerged directly following the buyout of WCW... I've heard there was a few. Don't ask why im asking for this info... I guess it's just a phase im going through.

What type of promotions are you refering to? Indys that have gained smaller TV deals or been on PPV?
Well right after WCW/ECW were bought out I had to deal with just WWF for a couple years until 2003 came around. Then I discovered the term "Indy" and TNA. So I then looked for any wrestling I could find on TV stations which led to me coming across WWA (PPV), WEW (Sunshine Network), MLW (Sunshine Network), MXPW (Sunshine Network), TNA Xplosion (Sunshine Network), IWA-Puerto Rico (Empire) and XWF (PPV). I watched/followed all of them for about a year or two until they all eventually went out of buisness and/or lost their TV Deal. Then after that I believe CZW held a couple small shows on PPV as well as XPW did. Around the same-time frame this is when TNA got a lot bigger and got a TV Deal with FSN and then Spike TV. I don't believe there were many other Indys after this getting small TV deals or PPV shows until earlier this year when ROH when onto PPV.
Hopefully that helps a bit, I'm sure other Indys have gotten TV deals on just little local networks like "Channel 8" but as for commercialized ones I believe Sunshine and Empire were the only ones to get wrestling on their station. I believe WEW might still be doing shows on there but I'm not 100% positive.

Nah they were an American fed, but each show they held was in a different country. They did one in Australia, one in Las Vegas, one in Scotland, etc.

Yeah that's pretty much the thing I was looking for... you know like little promotions that had a few major stars to boost them and attempted to kind of fill the void that the lack of WCW/ECW left in pro wrestling. Thanks ALOT for the help +karma ;] I know it was run by an Australian promoter (from the information I've gathered) but I'm not entirely sure whether it was Australia-based. [EDIT: # Early 2002, Andrew McManus's WWA tours Australia for several shows.. # November 2002: WWA returns, this time putting on several shows in Europe.. # May 2003: WWA & Andrew McManus begins their latest tour of Australia with Sting as their headliner.. # May 25, 2003 - WWA PPV: WWA unifies both its Cruiserweight title & World title with TNA's equivalents.. ] Anyway, WWA had one hell of an alumni that's for sure; Sting Lex Luger Nathan Jones Devon Storm Konnan Joe E. Legend Norman SmileyBrian Christopher The Roaddog The Funkster The Cat Vampire Warrior (Gangrel) Jeff Jarrett Scott Steiner Shane Douglas Rick Steiner Disco Inferno Sabu Malice Buff Bagwell Perry Saturn Simon Diamond Stevie Ray Quebecer Pierre (Mountie) Lenny Lane Lodi Jerry Lynn Chris Sabin Frankie Kazarian Shark Boy Kid Vicious AJ Styles Juventud Guerrera Psicosis Nova Chuck E. Chaos Commissioner Hart Commissioner Sid Commissioner Sanders Jerry Lawler Lenny & Lodi Luna Vachon Elizabeth CREDIT - OWW

I remember ordering that, the Sting/Jarret match kinda blew as I remember it, but Sabin was involved in a 4-way match and it was the first time I heard about him. It was a decent show I guess.

I actually I have seen all the WWA Shows on PPV, and I'm pretty sure I taped all off them. I'll have to dig around in my boxes of tapes to find all of them though. I take a look to see if I can find them. I think they had like 4-5 PPV's though.
I'm pretty sure the first WWA PPV was like Road Dogg vs. Jarrett for the WWA Title, inside a steel cage. I remember Jarrett and Road Dogg both doing the sharpshooter, and Bret Hart(Who at the time was the commissioner for WWA), got up, and went into the ring, and put the sharpshooter on both of them(or maybe just Jarrett, I'm not 100% sure)
I also remember Sid Vicious being the commissioner for awhile too.

Sounds pretty interesting that. I'm actually surprised at how much of a crowd they could draw to some of their shows, really quite impressive. If you have the correct software it would be nice if you could try and get some of those tapes up on the interweb or something, if not no worries

To my knowledge there are European DVDs that were sold for WWA. As for the United States, I dont ever find them.

some of the "super indies" that emerged along the time were...
i-Generation (ran a PPV headlined by Dennis Rodman vs. Curt Hennig from Australia), MECW, and the XWF.

Yeah, I-Generation was the fed i ordered a PPV for, that was...horrid. They were supposed to bring in Warrior for their 2nd PPV, but i dont think they ever had another.
I remember Jerry Lynn giving Eddie Guerrero a piledriver like days aftrer his WWE release, that was my only good memory of WWA.
