There's only two matches on the card that interest me and thats the six man tag and CIMA & KENTA vs Richards & Romero. The rest of the card is bleh. Nigel/BJ will more than likely suck, Danielson/Rave matches have never been that good, in fact they bore me to death. Strong/Evans will be the same as the last two is Evans ever gonna get a win over Strong? Nigel is easily in the top five wrestlers on the planet, he's coming off of his best match in the last year against Danielson. Whitmer has been on a huge role as far as good matches goes, despite losses. Why would that suck? Danielson & Rave have had two great matches, the first of which was voted #8 in the top matches of the year for the last year. I guess no flips = yuck! As for Strong & Evans, they have a rivalry, Strong put Evans out of action and sent him packing to the orient. Now Strong is coming to Jack's turf and Jack will exact revenge. The storyline is simple and the match just like the last two will be incredible. I'm sorry, but I see no reason for you to be grumpy.

It's a clash of styles and Whimter is usually boring as hell in singles matches when it doesn't involve a weapon. Except for his match with Homicide years back. The only good singles matches I've ever seen from Whitmer was with Necro at WOTR II, his series of matches with Jabobs, his tables match with Albright, and his match with Homicide. All of those matches but one involved some fort of a weapon, blood, and violence. Nigel/Whitmer is not a match that interests me at all. You know like the JAPW Joe/Ki match didn't interest you? The Rave/Danielson matches have never impressed me. It has nothing to do with there being no flips. There wasn't flips in Joe/Danielson(FOTC), Cide/Danielson(Final Battle), Nigel/Danielson(Unified) or KENTA/Danielson but those were all excellent matches. Strong/Evans is one of the stronger matches on the card I'll give you that. Hopefully Strong doesn't go up 3-0 on Evans though. I'm not grumpy...is the card good? Yes. Is it incredible like I thought it would be? No it's not. Like mention it's not a bad card but it's not what it could of been. Obviously I'm not the only one that feels that way judging by posts on this board and on the ROH board.

All of those matches but one involved some fort of a weapon, blood, and violence. Nigel/Whitmer is not a match that interests me at all. Whitmer's match with Homicide years back was great. But he's had several singles matches that were very good and didn't involve weaponry. Whitmer vs. Joe(Hell Freezes Over), Whitmer vs. Roddy Strong(Unscripted II), Whitmer vs. Shiosaki(Anarchy in the UK), Whitmer vs. Castagnoli(United), Whitmer vs. Gibson(Nowhere to Run), and Whitmer vs. Ace Steel(Reborn Stage 2) are just a few examples of very good matches with Whitmer and no weapons. You know like the JAPW Joe/Ki match didn't interest you? Which one? The one they did after PWG and IWA MS announced it or the one from the Philly show that Joe and Ki both tanked? The Rave/Danielson matches have never impressed me. It has nothing to do with there being no flips. There wasn't flips in Joe/Danielson(FOTC), Cide/Danielson(Final Battle), Nigel/Danielson(Unified) or KENTA/Danielson but those were all excellent matches. It's funny you mention the Cide/Danielson match as Rave/Danielson from the Milestone Series Fourth Anniversary Show had the same exact story to it. Strong/Evans is one of the stronger matches on the card I'll give you that. Hopefully Strong doesn't go up 3-0 on Evans though. It wouldn't make sense for Strong to win. I'm not grumpy...is the card good? Yes. Is it incredible like I thought it would be? No it's not. Like mention it's not a bad card but it's not what it could of been. Obviously I'm not the only one that feels that way judging by posts on this board and on the ROH board. The ROH board is full of a lot of people who aren't ever happy with anything. Them being upset shouldn't shock anyone.

I've seen Whitmer/Claudio it was better than I expected it to be but nothing special. You can't deny that Whitmer's best matches were with ones that involved weapons.
They announced it after PWG but before IWA-MS. The match was planned way before it was announced though.
While the story usually makes the match the Danielson/Cide match had over 6 months of build up to it, a hotter crowd and just had that "big match feel" to it. It's how more ROH Title matches should be built up.
No it wouldn't but it wouldn't surprise me if he does.
Indeed it is however it's full of just as many if not more people that agree with anything the product does and will never dare knock Gabe's booking.

I've seen Whitmer/Claudio it was better than I expected it to be but nothing special. You can't deny that Whitmer's best matches were with ones that involved weapons. Do yourself a favor and find the match with Gibson, it's probably one of the best 3 openers in ROH history. I rated it ****1/4. His best match was Cage with Jacobs, probably ****3/4 or even *****. His best matches are the ones where BJ Whitmer is able to control the finish. That way the other guy leads the match and he's a great finish guy. They announced it after PWG but before IWA-MS. The match was planned way before it was announced though. Nah IWA MS announced it when they announced the first 7 for the TPI tourny. While the story usually makes the match the Danielson/Cide match had over 6 months of build up to it, a hotter crowd and just had that "big match feel" to it. It's how more ROH Title matches should be built up. The build is not relevent to the match itself. The story is what was being compared, not the build up and crowd. No it wouldn't but it wouldn't surprise me if he does. Strong is the FIP champ so that's a valid reason to have him go over. However, Jack's winning this one. Indeed it is however it's full of just as many if not more people that agree with anything the product does and will never dare knock Gabe's booking. That's not really true. People knock what they want. I knock some things as well. The notion of everyone bowing before Gabe's booking is so 2004.

To be honest, this card doesnt do a whole lot for me. I think I just set my sights way too high, but I think I'm more looking foward to the NOAH show than the DG show. I'm sure it will still be great & I'll probably end up buying it when it comes out.

I'm with Undisputed Kid on this one (As for as BJ/Nigel goes, I mean). BJ sucks dick (pardon the pun) and is boring and bland. Nigel could be used much better to showcase to the Japanese fans how good he is (Because god knows he wasn't allowed to in NOAH). Now we're probably going to get a match with OMGZ FIGHTING SPIRIT and exploders o' plenty.

Yeah...you are. I got sick of him about the middle of last year. Every single ing year people are like oh man this is gonna be BJ's year to win it, BJ's year to shine, and he never ever does, unless he's literally dragged through a match by a guy much better than him (Jacobs, Necro). And as I said, I'm with UK on this. Nothing too special here. And I HATE the team of Delirious and MO'Z. Yes, stick the most over and lovable babyface with the baddest heel group in DG...while rave, a formed member, is wrestling Danielson...when they like just had a match. Swap Delirious and Rave and things would be a lot better for such a small change.
