1. Young Lions Cup, Opening Round Match: Lince Dorado (CHIKARA) def. El Hijo del Ice Cream (LAW) by submission with the CHIKARA Special to advance to the 6-Way Elimination Semi-Final.
2. Young Lions Cup, Opening Round Match: Moscow the Communist Bovine (CHIKARA) def. Hydra (CHIKARA) by pinfall with a side Russian leg sweep to advance to the 6-Way Elimination Semi-Final. The fans mooed for Moscow.
3. Young Lions Cup, Opening Round Match: Player Uno (IWS) def. Niles Young (CZW) by pinfall with a rollup to advance to the 6-Way Elimination Semi-Final.
4. Young Lions Cup, Opening Round Match: Chuck Taylor (CHIKARA) def. Cabana Man Dan (IWA-DS) by pinfall with a piledriver to advance to the 6-Way Elimination Semi-Final. This match was said to be insanely fun.
5. Young Lions Cup, Opening Round Match: Ice Cream, Jr. (LAW) def. Hex Gage (OSW) by pinfall with the Jack & Jill Hammer after falling to the wrath of the sprinkles to advance to the 6-Way Elimination Semi-Final Match. The match was said to be "HEE HAW! HEE HAW!".
6. Young Lions Cup, Opening Round Match: Amigo Suzuki (UDG/Toryumon) def. Rex Sterling (NWA) by pinfall with a Tiger Suplex to advance to the 6-Way Elimination Semi-Final Match. Said to be a good technical match, with Amigo working the knee of Sterling a lot.

Intermission time.

7. Rhett Titus def. Worker Ant by pinfall with an Oklahoma roll.
8. Billy Roc def. Chrisjen Hayme by pinfall with the standing Shiranui/Asai DDT.
9. Mitch Ryder def. Shane Storm by pinfall with a piledriver. Storm was bleeding from the nose for the majority of the match.
10. Young Lions Cup, 6-Way Elimination Semi-Final Match: Chuck Taylor (CHIKARA) def. Lince Dorado (CHIKARA), Moscow the Communist Bovine (CHIKARA), Player Uno (IWS), Ice Cream, Jr. (LAW) and Amigo Suzuki (UDG/Toryumon) to advance to the final on night 3.
a) Moscow the Communist Bovine was eliminated first.
b) Player Uno was eliminated second by Amigo Suzuki following a beautiful Tiger Suplex.
c) Amigo Suzuki was eliminated third by Lince Dorado following a Yoshi Tonic/sunset flip combo.
d) Ice Cream, Jr. was eliminated fourth by Chuck Taylor when Taylor faked a low blow and Ice Cream was disqualified.
e) Lince Dorado was eliminated last when Chuck Taylor rolled through on a sunset flip.

CHIKARA Young Lions Cup 5, Night 2 Results
Ryan Township Fire Hall, Barnesville, PA - June 23rd 2007
1. Young Lions Cup, Opening Round Match: Billy Roc (IPW) def. "Omega" Aaron Draven (IWA-EC) by pinfall with the standing Shiranui/Asai DDT to advance to the 6-Way Elimination Semi Final Match.
2. Young Lions Cup, Opening Round Match: Shayne Hawke (IWS) def. Tim Donst (CHIKARA) by pinfall with the Tomahawk (flatliner) to advance to the 6-Way Elimination Semi Final Match. I was told "to say Tim Donst is sloppy is an understatement".
3. Young Lions Cup, Opening Round Match: Rhett Titus (ROH) def. Soldier Ant (CHIKARA) by pinfall to advance to the 6-Way Semi Final Elimination Match when he put his feet on the ropes for leverage.
4. Young Lions Cup, Opening Round Match: Darin Corbin (F1rst Wrestling) def. Super Xtremo (BSE) by pinfall to advance to the 6-Way Elimination Semi-Final Match when he countered a splash into an Ace Crusher.
5. Young Lions Cup, Opening Round Match: Ultra Dragon (RLL) def. Ryan Cruz (F1rst Wrestling) by pinfall to advance to the 6-Way Elimination Semi Final Match with a move similar to a reverse Yoshi Tonic.
6. Young Lions Cup, Opening Round Match: Ricochet (CHIKARA) def. Chrisjen Hayme (FTW) by pinfall to advance to the 6-Way Elimination Semi Final Match when he used a top rope moonsault followed by a standing shooting star press. At one point, Hayme reversed a tilt-a-whirl into a piledriver. Ricochet then reversed an Air Raid Crash into his backslide driver.

Intermission time.

7. Mitch Ryder def. Cabana Man Dan by pinfall with a piledriver. Sounded good enough.
8. Chuck Taylor def. Arik Cannon by pinfall when he reversed a would-be top rope Northern Lights Suplex into a sort-of pull-down piledriver. At one point Chuck did a running senton from the outside to the inside. Chuck made a child cry. At one point I was told "this match is amazing", so it sounded great.
9. Los Ice Creams (El Hijo del Ice Cream & Ice Cream, Jr.) & Amigo Suzuki def. Team F.I.S.T. (Gran Akuma & Icarus) & Max Boyer by pinfall when both Ice Creams pinned Icarus with a two-man backslide (from sweet, creamy heaven!).
10. Young Lions Cup Semi Final, 6-Way Elimination Match: Ricochet (CHIKARA) def. Billy Roc (IPW), Shayne Hawke (IWS), Ultra Dragon (RLL), Darin Corbin (F1rst Wrestling) and Rhett Titus (ROH) to advance to the final tomorrow.
a) Ultra Dragon was eliminated by Ricochet.
b) Darin Corbin was eliminated by Rhett Titus following a running powerslam.
c) Rhett Titus was eliminated by Ricochet following a huracanrana.
d) Shayne Hawke was eliminated by Billy Roc following the standing Shiranui/Asai DDT.
e) Billy Roc was eliminated by Ricochet following, and I quote, "a reverse rana into a springboard tornado DDT into a standing Shooting Star Press pinfall combo".

Barnesville crowd is said to be 60-70. The building is very hot, and the crowd atmosphere apparently sucks.

Tomorrow, Chuck Taylor vs. Ricochet for the Young Lions Cup in yet another chapter of their feud.

Night 3:

Show opened with a Kings of Wrestling promo (sans FIST). Mainly putting over Chuck Taylor and how he'll win the YLC tonight.

Before the first match, FIST came out, still hot over their 6-man lost to Los Ice Cream and Amigo Suzuki last night. Threw out an open challenge....

1. LOS ICE CREAM d. FIST with the Doomsday Assisino on Akuma.

2. ULTRA MANTIS BLACK, HYDRA, CROSSBONES d. PLAYER UNO, SUPER XTREMO and MOS-COW. UMB, being a vegan, did not want to harm, or even lock up, MOS-COW the Communist Bovine. Instead of trying to eat him (as he did Friday), HYDRA brought in some grass on which MOS-COW grazed. HYDRA (and then CROSSBONES) tried unsuccessfully to tip him over. MANTIS pinned XTREMO with the Praying Mantis Bomb.

3. BILLY ROC d. AMIGO SUZUKI.

4. OLSEN TWINS d. NORTH STAR EXPRESS. Lots of wackiness here. They did an extended "slo-mo" spot, complete with slow count by the ref and slow-mo "Andre Dawson" chant. Then, Cruz and Olsen did a parody of the ECW Catfight spot, including rolling over the ref. COLIN pinned CRUZ using the ropes. The Olsens also stole Corbin's wacky belt.

5. LINCE DORADO d. MITCH RYDER. Lots of heat, as Mitch is claiming that Lince (or as he is calling him, Lindsay Dorito) is stealing a job from an American wrestler. After the match, Mitch stomped Lince something fierce. This feud must continue.

6. MIKE QUACKENBUSH d. SHAYNE HAWKE. More comedy here. Quack won with the QD2.

7. BLK-OUT (SABIAN and RUCKUS) d. THE COLONY (FIRE AND SOLDIER ANT). Stiff, but not dangerously so, like their match back in April. BLK-OUT continued to beat on the Ants after the bell and even beat up WORKER ANT, who had come in to make the save.

8. CHRIS HERO and CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI d. CHEECH and CLOUDY. The KOW worked together well during the beginning portion of the match, but eventually, there was the expected mis-communcation spots with Hero and Claudio. CLAUDIO won with the new RICOLA German Suplex.

9. HALLOWICKED, JIGSAW, SHANE STORM d. LARRY SWEENEY, MAX BOYER, ARIK CANNON. This was the "golden dream" match between the six previous holders of the YLC. Lots of near falls. at some point during the match, the ring broke. HALLOWICKED won when CANNON submitted to the Chikara Special.

10. YLC: CHUCK TAYLOR d. RICHOCHET. Lots of high flying. Chuck, for the third night in a row, picked on a little kid at ringside. This time, the young girl was so upset that she left the arena. TAYLOR won with the Running Omega Driver. After the match, the KOW hit the ring to celebrate, with Hero parading Taylor around the ring on his shoulders.

The concept of the YLC is to elevate new stars into actual competitors, as all of the YLC's did until IV with Cannon...but he lost it to Boyer and that made sense. Roc, Ricochet, Uno, Hawke, Hayme, Hydra, and Cabana Man Dan would all have been better choices that Taylor. It's a waste of a reign that will probably be over before we know it, when they realize the YLC will do nothing to Chuck except limit him to having shitty matches for the cup againt guys like MosCow (who is a total rip-off of the ISW gimmick Moohammad

) for the cup, when he could easily be in a main event feud against the technicos with the KOW, wrestling guys like Quack, Jigsaw, Wicked, and others.

Absolutely agreed. Taylor is taking a back seat winning YLC. This years tournament was certianly beyond stellar as far as quality goes. Obviously Taylor was the best in the tourney, but that isnt saying much. Besides guys like Gage and Rhett got eliminated first round. Lince would have been a good Chikara talent to elevate there or one of the Ants.

I had no idea he even won Rey de Voladores until you mentioned it. So in that case then yeah that wasn't necessary at ALL for him to win both tournaments, they should have given the Cup to Ricochet or Billy Roc as both also made it to the finals.

Dunno how I missed checking the results for that show....weirdest.

Espcially stupid to win YLC. Taylor is already an established main event talent being in the KOW. YLC is used for the up and comer. It was pretty dumb for Cannon to win last year. Boyer would have been a great fit for that. At least he got the cup after.
