PWInsider is reporting that Ring of Honor star Bryan Danielson suffered a broken orbital bone during his match Saturday night in Manhattan, NY against ROH World Champion Takeshi Morishima. Danielson's eye was described as being very swollen during the match and was feared to have broken the bone in as many as four different places. As of now, the injury isn't believed to be that serious. He was reportedly having vision problems after the match and was feeling very groggy. Danielson is slated to meet with a specialist this week to determine the severity of the injury. WRESTLEVIEW.COM That really really blows |

Doesn't he have the NWA World Title Finals in like 4 days as well?

I'd make a remark about overly-done and needlessly-stiff Strong Style-esque matches injuring indy competitors before their time, but that'll just get torn to shreds.
I will say, though, that I hope Danielson heals up good and quick. Professionally as well as physically. I would hate for him to have some sort of chronic vision problem.

His eye was really  ed up from what I could see at the show. Hope this isn't that bad. Eye injuries are no joke.. |

August 27th: It was a great weekend in ROH that ended in a major negative. Bryan Danielson challenged ROH World Champion Takeshi Morishima last Saturday in Manhattan. Morishima retained in one of the greatest matches in ROH history. Danielson paid the price for the hard-hitting contest. He suffered a small orbital fracture and there is something wrong with his retina. Danielson will see a specialist today. It was a scary scene in the locker room as Danielson's eye was rolled back in his head and he lost vision in his left eye. We will have more information as soon as we get an update.

Tough break for Danielson, as he is just returning from a long absence. Major shakeup for both the NWA and ROH.

Such a scary scenario, hopefully he recovers to the best of his abilities.
Not to make light of a situation, but I can't wait to see the actual match. He's the best and he pulls no strings when he makes that claim.
