I'm from Manila, and for a short while down here, back in the late80's-early90's, the Philippines had Pinoy Wrestling. Which was the country's first serious shot at a pro wrestling. It could've been better pulled off, but instead they decided to approach it as the Philippines equivalent to the WWF. I'm going to post a couple vids or so, I wanna see what you guys think:

Once Birdman took off his entrance mask and gear, I could barely tell the two apart aside from the gloves. This has a 94 feel, which is almost a compliment, considering the first clip is from 89. Other than that, I dunno what to think. I didn't make it to the wrestling.

You'll notice that some of them were a bit under-trained. The guy who was really worth watching was this dude named Macho-Franco.
