Joe Dombrowski sent this in: Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling management announced earlier this week the cancellation of the remainder of its live events for the 2007 calendar year. This includes the previously announced October 6 live event, in addition to scheduled events in November and December as well. We apologize to any and all fans this decision may inconvenience in any way. CAPW tentatively plans to relaunch in January 2008 with brand new faces and a brand new attitude. Stay posted to this website for further news and updates on this situation when they are made available. Source: Wrestleview.com . This is the only indy promotion I follow. It comes on Sports Time Ohio (which I get) & really disappointed that it's shutting down for now. If anyone cares.

I saw CAPW a few times. It was decent. Sorry to see it go. Yeah: Comment On CAPW's myspace from JT Lighting: i am cancelling all capw shows for the rest of 2007. i dont feel like running and STO is a waste of time and money. sorry to disappoint those fans who do tune in and come see our shows, but im burnt out and tired of all of the bullcrapthe buisness brings. i will relaunch in jan. 2008. i am gonna concentrate on "lightning productions", which books punk bands. less egos to deal with. take care everyone. I have to agree with him. STO f'n blows. Like, one week it could be a brand new show the next week it's a repeat.. same goes for the next. They tape 2-3 show worths of matches. The time slot is crappy too. I just hope they get on a station I have lol.

Knowing several CAPW regulars and having worked on ring crew for a couple of shows as a volunteer, I'd say it's more likely that JT Lightning is the sole reason for CAPW going down hill. His booking was awful, he spent money on shows that he had no budget for, and he had his chance to use STO as a launching pad for a good company. Instead his goal appeared to be to have some of the worst wrestling with the best talent I've seen outside of TNA.

I gotta admit - it sucked. But, it was a chance to get guys I've never seen before & grew to like some guys. But, there was two great matches I saw
3 Way Tag Team Ladder Match For CAPW Championship: Q&A v. Irish Airborne v. Faith In Nothing
Night Of Legends: Motor City Machine Guns (Sabin/Shelley) vs Johnny Gargano & Josh Prohibition
They was very good matches & Sabin/Shelley actually got a great amount of time - 19 minutes & some odd seconds (better than that they get in TNA lol). I'm going to miss it because it was something diffrent but hopefully JT pulls his head out of his ass & starts booking better. Up untill a few shows ago they had Tracy Smothers was CAPW Champion - not saying Smothers is bad but still doesn't make sense. My opinion though.

I love Tracy, so having him as champ was probably the only other good thing about the company besides Gargano, who occasionally posts here. Johnny's got a big future in wrestling, whether it be ROH or TNA.
The problem was JT Lightning he jammed his mug over all of tv, and that hurt.
I was at the Shelley/Sabin/Gagano/Prohibition tag and that was the last show, terribly booked, no attendence, and tons of names that cost a fortune.

I agree with you 100%. I'm a fan of Tracy but something about him as champion just didn't click with me. Gargano is truley amazing in the ring & like you said has a big future ahead of him. I would love to see him come into TNA & contiue his fued with Shelley (depending how much longer he'll be there) because it got my attention really quickly. Yeah, JT took up so much damn time with himself on TV. He came out did his little promo talking about the "6 man tag team champions" (Lighing/Da Munchies for those who don't know) & then his match. Then during one of the matches I belive agianst Mega Sexy they stalled because of "HIVs". The camera side fro Night Of Legends was shitastic. He made a comment about TNA not drawing in house shows (which is true) but I wouldn't be talking when you can't draw in for a TV taping. There was two many big names that didn't appeal to me. I also didn't like the fact we never saw a full show. What I mean is, we never saw the singles match between Shelley/Gargano that took place at a TV taping & we only saw that 3 matches from Night Of Legends.. that doesn't make sense to me. Maybe, this break will help JT pull his head out of ass & start doing stuff diffrently or just back up & let someone else handle it.
