Hulk Hogan is just days away from launching his own professional wrestling promotion intended to compete with World Wrestling Entertainment, reports The Sun out of the United Kingdom. Hogan told The Sun that he and Eric Bischoff are very close to signing a television deal with a major United States network. Hogan commented, “Last night me and Eric were getting ready to sign a deal with one of the TV networks here in America. We had a little bit of a problem with the licensing and merchandising, which has delayed it. But I totally expect we’re going to sign the TV portion of this very soon, because there’s no point in starting any sort of wrestling organization without the TV locked in place.”
Hogan says after the television deal is locked, they will make an official announcement. Hulk on went to tell The Sun that the new product he and Bischoff plan to launch will be a product similar to WWE but he “prays to God it’s nothing like what is on TV now” and even refers to WWE's product as "boring programming."
When asked what they plan on doing for talent the Hulkster said, “There are a lot of unhappy campers in the WWE and there are also a new breed of wrestlers that Vince McMahon hasn’t explored yet, that we have. And I’m in better shape than I have been for about 10 years.”

Hogan is basically going to create a company so he can hold the World title.

And I?m in better shape than I have been for about 10 years.? Sounds like WCW 2.0 or another TNA to me. Can't say I'm not extremely psyched for this, though... afterall, Bischoff would be booking (I assume) and not Vince Russo or Dutch Mantel.

The wrestling itself probably won't be any good however if it can bring Mcmahon some competition and possibly freshen up his product like he had to do during the Attitude era then it is good enough for me. I however wouldn't take anything Hogan says seriously. If it does officially happen I will be surprised.

I'll watch and Im being honest ....Me too. I dont care much for Hogan being involved, but if Bischoff has a majority of say and pull within the organization it's definitely worth a watch.

This will most likely take the same route as the ill fated XWF... Actually XWF failed because before they got their TV deal WWE took Hogan, Hennig, Piper, Sable, and Lawler back. They couldn't make a TV pilot without anchor stars that Jimmy Hart promised. So unless Hogan gets people who want to go back to WWE, it's nothing like that. Plus Bischoff is an actual business man who will probably tell Hogan what to do to actually be successful.

Hogan is basically going to create a company so he can hold the World title. Very true. But I will tune in for the first few episodes of this debacle.

They would make him look absurd.

You guys are talking about this like it actually has a chance of getting off the ground. How many times has Hogan said that he is starting a new fed to compete with the WWE? It's not gonna happen.
