Last night, CZW's first show of 2008 kicked off with a bang. The main event featured 2 shocking surprises. The first and biggest was the return of EDDIE KINGSTON!!!! I never thought we would see Kingston work for Zandig again, considering what happened last year.
Secondly, we saw the CZW debut of Devon Moore. I am shocked that CZW actually booked some talent. Lately they have done nothing but promote a glorified backyard tard fed. But I am still not buying into a resurgence for CZW. We will have to see how they use Moore.
So now that Kashmere is gone from PWU.....does this mean we are gonna see more cross overs? PWU and CZW on good working terms?

yeah full results would be nice. and showstopper, you gotta stop bashing CZW. you give them crapwhenever you can, and fact is theyve been decent this year. a "glorified yard tard fed" wouldbt bring in homicide, H-teezy, and countless other guys. The 3 shows ive seen from 07 were all pretty good.

Official CZW New Years Resolutions Results - 1/12/08 - Philadelphia, PA 1/12/08 - Philadelphia, PA
1. LZ Cruz defeated Alex Colon. 2. Nicky Benz defeated Joe Gacy. 3. Beef Wellington and Greg Excellent defeated Player Uno and Stupefied 4. Ryan McBride defeated Javi Air, Bandido, Jr. and Pinkie Sanchez, pinning Sanchez following a 450 Splash. 5. DJ Hyde defeated WHACKS following the Shadow Driver. 6. LuFisto defeated Mickie Knuckles following a Burning Hammer onto set-up chairs. Intermission 7. CZW World Tag Team Title Match: Jon Dahmer and Danny Demanto defeated Andy Sumner and Drew Gulak to retain the CZW World Tag Team Titles. 8. CZW World Junior Heavyweight Title Match: Sabian defeated Azrieal to retain the CZW World Junior Heavyweight Title. 9.CZW Ironman Title* and Ultraviolent Underground Title** 20-Minute Iron Man Home Run Derby Death Match: Brain Damage defeated Joker with a score of 1-0 in Overtime to retain the Ultraviolent Underground Title and to win the CZW Iron Man Title. 10. CZW World Heavyweight Title Ultraviolent Rules Match: Nick Gage defeated Danny Havoc, Ruckus, Drake Younger, Devon Moore and Eddie Kingston to retain the CZW World Heavyweight Title, pinning Ruckus following the Chokebreaker.
Notes: -Attendance is around 450 people. -Hyde vs. WHACKS was said to be really good and very stiff. They brawled through the crowd and at one point WHACKS did a Swanton Bomb off the Eagle's Nest onto DJ through a table. After the match, DJ gave WHACK's valet a chokeslam. -Mickie Knuckles got a loud chant from the crowd and the audience is red hot for their bout. -Following intermission, Zandig came to the ring for a promo. Zandig makes Maven Bentley CZW's new official janitor. -Danny Demanto and Jon Dahmer come out for their CZW World Tag Team Title defense. Demanto grabs the microphone and publically fires both Niles Young and Noel Harlow from CZW permanently. He then challenges Team AnDrew to face them for the tag straps. The challenge is accepted. -The World Title match begins and Ruckus comes out and says that he was never pinned when he lost his title so he's now putting himself in the title match. This brings out Drake Younger, who was to wrestle Ruckus in the main event of the evening, for perhaps a potential CZW World Title shot. He inserts himself into the match-up. All of a sudden the lights go out... And DEVON MOORE makes his CZW debut, turning the match into a 5-way... Before that can really get going, the lights go out again... And EDDIE KINGSTON makes his CZW return and the World Title match-up is now a 6-way bout.

From a non-follower, the last match sounds like an incredible twist for the live crowd. Really, CZW faithful deserve it, anyhow.
I don't think PWU is throwing CZW any bones, but Zandig has gotta look at a company like IWA and see, they to can't be around forever. Might as well try to give the fans that give you money, some thing worth their time.

Anyone who actually goes to see PWU should be embarrassed. It's not like people are breaking their banks open to get money to go to these shows. It's only $10.

It's not like PWU's roster is just a bunch of shitty wrestlers. There's actually some on their that are enjoyable to watch and will probably be big in the indies sooner or later(if they aren't already), like Devon, Kingston, Bosom Buddies, The Best Around, John McChesney, etc

Nice to hear, I'm a huge Devon Moore mark. I'm glad he's been making his way to a lot of other promotions as of late other than just PWU.

Anyone who actually goes to see PWU CZW should be embarrassed. I fixed it for ya. I crapon CZW b/c I USED to be a HUGE CZW fan. You go back to the 90s and you get some great shows. I was watching CZW way before I even heard of ROH. Man....Messiah vs. Justice, Sick Nick, Rebel's Army, the Hi-V, B-Boy, Best of The Best Tournaments, Tournament Of Death.....just so many great moments. And all of it just lives on in dvd only. Zandig has lost his mind. You talk about great shows? The best show CZW had last year was Hero's last show. But the Hero/Kingston feud was really the only awesome thing going on in CZW. 2007 was a horrid year. You had Zandig firing Kingston.......dumbass. You had the debacle with Jigsaw. The horrid booking from Zandig. Zandig burying Messiah......eventhough it was Zandig's fault. And of course lets not forget.....B-Boy retired.....but where was his damn retirement match? Where was his chance to say goodbye to a company that he helped put on the map? Where was his last hoorah? No where to be seen. Shooter, you talk about CZW bringing Cide......whoopie. JAPW books Cide all the time and on top of that, they actually use him properly. What does CZW do? They book him into oblivion instead of cashing in on his greatness and his name power. CZW then brings Drake in. Whats supposed to be this awesome move turns into crap. They book him to be a "homegrown" talent. Thats BS! He is IWA homegrown. They book him to main event status......only to job to Justice Pain. They same man who has crapon CZW for an extra buck at every single turn of his career. Zandig of course just loves Nick Gage......so lets put the belt on him. Its not like Drake deserved it. Its not like Kingston deserves it. Nick Gage?! Who gives a crap about him?! All he can do is take a cheese grater to the face. He is a one hit wonder. What other promotions does he work for? Yeah.....didnt think so. If its not deathmatch shit.....he cant do it. CZW is in toilet and will continue to be until Zandig gets his head out of his ass and go back to the same formula that made him successful and bury his damn ego. I will give him credit with bringing Devon Moore and Kingston in. But we will have to see what he does with them? Last show before this one, they had Messiah back. For what? Just to make Gage look credible? Thats stupid. And dont even get me started on the Zandig/Quack situation. No wonder Quack bailed on him.

Even though i've never really watched CZW properly, that last match sounds awesome. The way it was one suprise, then another. Awesome. Would love to see it.

"Firing" Kingston because he didn't want to take a bump from the boss was stupid. B Boy was never contacted about doing a last match until after JAPW booked him if at all. They only brought him Homicide in to compete with ROH who was running the same night. ROH then decided to use Kingston on the pre show. I have never heard of CZW losing a ton of money like other indy companies.

I am sure you never hear about CZW losing money only cuz no one really cares. The fact that BBoy never got contacted is complete BS. Its exactly what I am trying to say is wrong with CZW and Zandig. Cide being brought in to compete with ROH for one night is a damn waste. How many more fans did they get out of that? Maybe a dozen. Maybe. And yet they have never even considered bringing him back again. They probably took a huge loss that night. But Zandig's ego got in the way.

The main event would have been killer to see live, Kingston is great, and really I am in surprise to that he is back in CZW.

Great post, that pretty much summed up everything on the current state of CZW. I gave up on them at the beginning of 2006 because in my eyes that's just when everything started going down hill.
